Your videos finally convinced me even go into a cave. Went to Dunbar in TN. There is a lot of history there but it was awesome. Im a big dude but ive been losing weight, might try to go find a guide and go to a cave that is way more harsh lol. You guys make amazing videos. Thanks.
Don’t part company. Don’t allow yourself to be urged on, into tight squeezes alone. Being ‘pinned’ in that situation would be horrible. You’d be forcing your friends to come in after you, when they initially didn’t want to? You’re making really interesting vids, I am enjoying them, when I’m not cringing and peering through my fingers, that is. Thank you fellas.
Omg! I was scrolling videos bored, came across this video and was completely hooked for thee entire video! Wow! You guys are amazing! Thanks for exploring & sharing, LOVE it! I was SO nervous the entire time! 🤭🤣😂
" We've been down there for five days" That was a good one😂 Beautiful cave, those formations are such a trip! You didn't scare me too much this time, but just enough👍👍😁😁💖💖 Be safe guys.
The thing I don’t get the most is trusting mystery ropes. Like…. I don’t question anything else y’all do. I am a climber and I’ll tell ya I am not putting my body weight on a rope I just found in a dark wet cave.
we didn't need to use the sketchy Walmart rope, we could had freeclimbed it and were wedging ourselves up anyway. It just helped us get up easier, didn't put any faith in it.
Thank you for being so crazy to provide us with these videos from places that normal people wouldn't ever be insane enough to experience in real life :D Take care tho!
Beautiful!! Ty so much!! I went on a tour in San Antonio to Inner space caverns years ago it was so so beautiful but strange cause the deeper we got in the cave I lost my balance and got dizzy Lol so weird but anyway, it's so beautiful how the water scoops out that stone and gives it such incredible texture 😍 wow! Peace and much love you to y'all all be safe out there!! 😁✌❤💯🙏
What a mud pit that was!! You're going to have to wash those clothes 25 times!! Squishy and smooshie, lol. I'm surprised there aren't little mud sculptures everywhere, I know I'd be tempted to model a little mud figurine... lol Thanks for sharing this little adventure, I'm claustrophobic and watching you guys is quite sufficient to quench my spelunking desires. Oh man!! Some of the tight places you go through would make me apoplectic, I'd just croak!! Thanks again and good luck and fine fortune to you!! You crazy cavers!!
excellent excellent how I miss these underground caves _ nothing better than being among you enjoying these unique landscapes to the fullest _ greetings friends I will wait patiently for the next video👍
everytime I watch anyone go caving, I get an overwhelming sense that it must be hard to breathe down there. they're absolutely fine, so maybe it's just me. once they make it back outside, I get that "I just got back to fresh air" feeling. 🤣
@@locabynature As someone allergic to pollen the air down there is actually easier to breath for me. There's also a strong draft going through most of the cave. At 13:30 you can see where screech owl cave comes down from the surface as well, lots of flies coming in from there, and gets a lot warmer near it.
@@CaveChronicles I always thought it would be stuffy down there but it's good to know. I'm not so much claustrophobic as just not being able to breathe. I don't think I know the word for when you portray your own fears to someone else's situation.
Really awesome video guys. It is so awesome to c how nature can make such beautiful caves. I always pray for u guys when i watch ur videos. Let god always watch over u guys to stay safe.
Petty John’s is huge! Me and the wife went in and explored around a while but didn’t get too deep! Your video really shows how much more there is to that place…
@1found1 that’s not true! Caves are filled with mystery and intrigue. (Also I was kind of joking) in this video, one of the lads was being lured away from his friends….the cave was calling to him…it was enchanting him to become lost.
@1found1 You've obviously been going to the wrong caves. I've personally been beguiled by dancing lights about 4 times by now, and had to wrestle my freakish cave double at least twice.
This has literally happened to me! I swore i heard one of my brothers still behind me on the way out, deep in the cave. only to find out i was behind them! Stick together always! ❤️
I love your scary ass videos. I did a very small amount of amateur caving in my youth. Even on the guided tours I went on, it was very frightening at times. You guys are brave as hell! But, I wish you had a geologist with you on your cave adventures. The amount of beautiful stones are worth mentioning along with the crystals. I would love to know what types of rocks they are. And please tell me you take samples with you. Thank you for entertaining and scaring me at the same time. Peggyk.
Never on your life, but I think name the channel "how to die in a cave" would get views, a smile is a frown turned upside down : ) glad you made it this time and glad it was not me down there.
A trip down memory lane haha, still the only time I've ever seen a big group of kids trying to go to the waterfall in PJs. Think it's funny when you have so many RU-vidrs dramatizing just going to the pancake, and all these kids are sending it somewhere that's like over 5x as hard to get too haha.
It’s like a guy said a few videos back this is how you end up on a mr ballen video. That man turns my anxiety into a class a drug lol the worst way to go is probably on his videos. Hopefully I will not see you on it. Lots of respect
I have been in so many times several years back but only went down the rope to the creek level on time. It was very hard for me to get back up that section.
Iv recently found your channel and love every video! My question is why don’t you carry a small foldable shovel or something similar in your pack? That’s got to be exhausting digging and dragging your way through different muddy sections.
Digging and displacing material in caves is a *huge* nono for normal people (not necessarily expedition teams). Especially for relatively accessible caves like PettyJohn. The NSS would have your ass.
Petty johns cave is a sacrificial cave, that has had way worse done to it than scooping a little mud out of the way to get into new areas. And the area we were in floods everytime it rains so new mud will simply wash back into place eventually
@@ActionAdventureTwins That is a fair point, Petty Johns has been pretty molested. They just drill it into our heads for most caves that if you're digging your route out, you're in the wrong.
No wonder my FSU caving club would take special trips to NorthGeorgia/Alabama. I did not have back then the rope skills! Everyone of those waterfalls that stream into a room or passage comes from somewhere. Might be a long cave up above and the entrance too. I am curious as to why no one seems to find where all the waters go to! I suspect that many many springs that are at the bottom of a limestone layer of rock are the exit point for a cave. Probably the tunnel gets real small or that this tunnel goes underwater. Thus few caves have an exit that can be exited from. I once walked around a small cave then noticed as I came to a "T" intersection, a stream of water was in it. Come to find out that there was an exit maybe 1000 feet away, an exit that might have been all of 12" by 8". Also, the entrance maybe 2000 feet away was also the same size. If it were not for that middle large entrance this cave would be forever hidden from exploration.
Always great videos dude's! You guys going back to the deepest pit in America? The cave you dropped the rock down in and it took like 8 seconds to hit the bottom
@@jax597 more cave, and there's another pit almost as deep called the Incredible Pit in that cave. Fantastic pit is 600' and the Incredible Pit is 450' deep.
Edward typically has the shorter hair and his voice tends to drop in pitch every few words or so. He is the one filming more often then not. James’ hair is usually longer and his voice stays pretty even in pitch while talking.
