Jeff shares his thoughts about Into the Odd Remastered from Bastionland Press and Free League Publishing. The roleplaying game is written by Chris McDowall with graphic design and art provided by Johan Nohr. The 144 page digest sized hardcover carries an MSRP of $39.99 or you can score the PDF alone at DriveThruRPG for $14.99. Will you be enamored by this minimalistic NUSR take on roleplaying. Or if you purchase Into the Odd will you be looking to get out of the odd as quickly as possible? You'll find out.

Electric Bastionland is the follow-up book and both are great when you play, Electric Bastionland has many more classes etc. It will always have a place in my heart, you can play a Mockery (basiclly a Muppet).

Woow great presentation of the game! I really like the minimalism and I also like how you need to improvise as a GM in the adventure. Three GMs can run the same game and it will be a totally different experience.

If we dont't have many stats to deal with, the filling in the blanks is the fun part you get to do as the Referee.

WE always used to say "DM", back in the day. Lol. And with my first dedicated gaming group DM applied to any game. If we were playing Champions, for example, my friend Kevin would "DM" some super hero gaming. My "back in the day" started in 1981. You?

1978 when i was in grammar school. I played a good amount of miniatures games in high school so the referee title just crossed over into anything. Plus is seems silly to call Someone running Top Secret a Dungeon Master. ~ Jeff

Seems like a fair score for what the game is. It didn't look bad at first look, but I suppose it all depends how well supported it is going forward which would make me decide whether to give it a shot. I made sure to watch this video Jeff haha.

I feel that the term OSR doesnt just describe old school clones but also games like this with an old school mentality. I feel this game also goes with the OSR. It's a renaisance which just means a revival of ideas in a way. It's a way of thinking when designing a game.
