On the list! 😁 For now, use the snap/smooth turn to 'wiggle' in to a position while moving forward, then unstuck until you are at where you want to be. Can also be used to stop fall damage if you time it right
quick tip about the tide: in the most recent update, they allowed you to be able to be in a shelter (marked as a blue or white house on the map) during the tide and not be moved. So if you're doing a scavenger run, or simply can't make it back to base, keep that in mind.
Quite right, in the most recent update as well. Shame I can't go back and edit that in lol. I'll probably wait until the very last update before I start doing a big multi-part guide on the game from start to finish 😁
I have a holo scope on top and a magnifier on the right, what I do is tilt the gun about 45° and then I can see both. I have the red dot for reference through my left eye, and the zoomed in scope through my right eye. Takes a little bit of getting used to, but really helps speed up target aquisition without giving away your position.
personally, I tend to use my Irons as a 'low power spotting scope' as if you have the 1-4x there's backup irons on the top, and the russian scopes leave the irons unmolested beneath the rifle. I find that there's usually precious little reason to use the 7-36x scope.
The dip is the most coolest trick I’ve ever seen thank you so much now I don’t have to manually put shells on my spas-12 well until my pouch runs out that is…
Thanks dude, its not OBS. Its something thats snuck back in to my editing software and has gone unnoticed. I think I have a fix and will be more vigilant in the future 😁
Thanks for this. Just getting into it and I had a feeling there'd be some nifty little things I didn't know. I LOVE the idea of building weapon racks using the brushes, its brilliant! Cheers.
Thanks for letting me know. It's a problem that's slid back in on my editor 😢 it's only noticeable on headphones, but still, will correct it for next time
Yeah I am aware. Something that has snucj its was back in to my editing. Only really noticable with headphones at least. It been corrected though and will be sorted for future vids. Thanks for pointing it out though 😁
That levitating shelf tip is awesome. Playing for about 50hrs and I was aware of the item physics, but wouldn't think of this for quite a while. Great video!
@@silver-tongued_devil that last one blew my mind too im gonna get on and try this right now lol. i wish they'd add an actual gun wall though, similar to that of ghosts of tabor
Here’s a useful tip for bolt action rifles: Always use your right hand to cycle the bolt (for both right handed and left handed grips). Seeing as most bolt actions are made for right handed shooters, i’ll explain the benefits of using your trigger hand to cycle. 1: it is a lot faster because your hand does not have to move as far, the bolt is on the right hand side 2: your rifle will still be trained in the same direction. when cycling with your offhand you often have to angle the rifle at an awkward angle making cycling and reacquiring a target much slower 3: it looks and feels way cooler and more realistic :)
Its something I definitley need to change for bolt action weapons in VR. For me its from my drills in my military days on the SA80. Difficult habit to break but no reason not to use your trigger hand to reload 😁
@@silver-tongued_devil They really have you reload with your offhand? That's honestly really surprising - I thought that cycling the bolt with the trigger hand was just the correct way. It just always felt so natural I never considered it could be any other way.. Do you know why they taught it that way?
@@Ashley-1917 Honestly I thought it was a pretty standard part of firearm drills to keep control of the weapon. If memory serves it was probably taught that way because part of the load/reload proceedure with that rifle was to do a forward assist (reinforce the bolt carrier action with a couple of chopping motions to the cocking handle) because of its notorious unreliability 🤣
For a noob like me, playing w/ scav mod, pretty much all tips were excellent. I didn't know about concentration mode and my noob-ass would crouch on the ground to take a shot lol. Speed clean... **chef's kiss**, if you're gonna spend, spend for all that needs repairs, this will save me so much spray ty!!
No worries dude! Was really hoping for mod support to come to standalone to play the scav mod, no hope now though. At least ITR2 is in the works right now 😁
on pcvr the night eye is actually pretty helpful, at night you can crouch irl and run around with your pistol. I did that to clear out the kolkhoz village more than once LMAO
A fun trick I used to use for the spawn was to pull out the map. Use it like a shield and the spawns just slam into it and do no damage to you. Easy stabbing range. Sword and shield tactics l.
Sword and board with the map lol. You can also just hold the knife out at about waist height and they have a good chance of impaling themselves when they leap at you 😁
A real life shooting tip that's easily applied in VR. When trying to be the most accurate, let out most of your breath and hold before pulling the trigger. It's basically what pressing A does so combining the two will have you laser sniping anything for miles in any shooting game
Yes I do this as well. Also when using pistols I use my dominant arm that’s holding the pistol ontop of my non dominant arm. Creating like a cross with my arms. This way I can support my hand and not shake as much. This is good because some games allow you to do a two hand grip but you’re not really doing a two hand grip since the controllers are in the way. So it’s effectiveness is not that good imo. But doing the cross thing really does change my accuracy by a lot. I’d be playing for hours and get too tired and the cross stance really helps me stay steady.
If you haven't played for a bit, one of the newer updates ups the challenge a little. Enemies a little deadlier, and can follow you in to buildings. Also increased stamina consumption at higher carry weight I think.
5:55 there's nothing to be ashamed of. The explorer might feel a little lonely at times. And/or just needs some tension release ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I've knew all of the tips by myself, but the last one is genious, thanks for that lol
I just bought this game after finishing boneworks and alyx and superhot. hungry for more. I know nothing about it but I have completed the tutorial. THank you for your help. it's time for me to venture into the radius!
Damnnn I didn't even know the Elcan Specter could go 1 and 4x like the irl one. Such a cool detail. I would've kept my M4A1 setup the same way it was if I knew that Edit: Wow imma have to boot up ITR again after this video. So many things that would've made my time a lot easier, especially now that I play on hard settings.
Huh, always wondered why i never ran out of stamina. I love the immersion and rp value of the game so I kept smoking constantly. Guess that's why! Haha!
Because you just have the devil on one shoulder? If you can't hear the angel on the other, thats your problem 🤣🤣🤣 In all seriousness its an error that has crept back in to my editing. Its only noticable for headphones mind. Corrected for next time though, and thank you very much for mentioning it dude 😁
You've got really good tips and you've told me a thing or two, but a bit of the side editing is a tiny bit cheesy and mainly fits the shorts side of youtube. But your really underrated and keep up the great content.
Yeah, its just a way to take the work from the shorts side of things and make something in a proper desktop format thats longer form. Thanks for the kind words as well, most appreciated! You can see one of my 'proper' vids for tips here. Time providing these are the ones I LOVE to do 😁 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yqIpJuL-6kQ.html
@@silver-tongued_devil absolutely. Until your video; that's where I was keeping my lighter and a 25 of 9x18 for field reloads. I relied on my side arm for a long time, just reholstering and refilling mags. I kept one of my chest slots free for the empty during a combat reload.
Nice. Something I've known but never really had to do. Side stepping is the way. Worth knowing if you get snuck up on while checking said map or looting 😁
I know right! No good reason WHY it works, it just does😁 I find it makes using the shotguns of the game a little less labour intensive at the very least.
Hey I was wondering if you wanted to add each other on oculus? half the people I have added are online and don’t feel like chatting and you seem like a chill person.
when you go into the fog away of the guidlines, is the place you end up at consistant? and can the tide take you to another map (assuming you have reached it)?
the place you end up when fogging it is always on the outside of the map, but I think is limited to several set locations. As for the tide, always get dumped back on the same map from my experience 😁
You'll be looking for the photo film. Its in the very back of the office in the compound marked on the map. I did a realistic play through recently if you want to see exactly where it is ru-vid.comMjeJkJ4qBcs (I get to the compound in question about 34 minutes in 😁
You can indeed! Few games have the option for complete removal. You can put it on one of the 3 turning options and set the speed/degree of turn down to 0. Also have you tried warranty or considered a fix?
