INTPs are often quiet but we aren't the stereotypical quiet kid. Stereotypically we are the sloppy nerd archetype. INTP is one of the easiest to understand MBTI types honestly. We are hobby focused individuals. That's it. It doesn't get any more complex than that. We invest our entirety into our hobbies. Things like ego, relationships, money, are all secondary motivations to us. Often times people have difficulty understanding INTPs not because the INTP is complex, but because they assume that everyone is motivated by emotion, lust, greed, or pride. Whereas INTPs are motivated primarily by curiosity and that simple concept seems alien to them.

you are right, looking back there are a few characters in here that don't match the intp personality. If I do more mbti videos I will do more research into the characters :)

Pretty sure she’s an ISTJ. Everyone wants all the good characters to be INxx’s but that’s not really the case.

Last part of the video had me raising an eyebrow. Only time I’m productive is when things I’ve neglected too long starts to get out of hand.

I am an intp-t i would say i am productive. But others are definitely more productive but not always as time efficient when I figured something out. altough easy tasks take more time than needed almost always.

as an intp, I either go 0% productivity or MAXIMUM 100% I remember that time I sat for like 10 hours straight organising some music files to the point of my head hurting, but then struggled to do anything for the next 5

Haha yes, same here. I spend hours organizing Lego pieces by colour and shape and then when it comes to actually do something that is important I'm looking out of the window lol

What do you do with someone with such strong intuition and so aware of his environment? I'd like to make him a fellow INTP, but I would miss a lot of physical details while deep in thought on the possible motives and means.

@@rogerhuggettjr.7675 he has a strong Se, but i think his way of thinking is very Ne-Si, he compares sensory data from the past to new information (Si). he makes connections and thinks in possibilities, then he thinks about what is more logical using probabilistic logic (Ti-Ne).

Fantasy is the perfect genre for INTP protagonists. We are always misunderstood and no one understands the situation like we do.

@@specialknees6798 coz we are probably the only ones capable of being consciously aware of the logic structure of everything. I truly believe INTPs are topping knowledge discoveries in history. But I guess you say so because INTPs tend to be lazy fucks sometimes or even all the time. I feel you, and i have got good news!! You can change this easily!!! Think of WHO is that you want to be in the future, then think of the process to get there and finally you'll get the results. For example myself I want to be a multibillionaire entrepreneur like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and Bill Gates. Then I started googling book recommendations by these technology giants and went to the bookstore. Bought like 8 books, and I had never really read any book before coz I was a procrastinator and all. Now I've already read 2 600 page books in 2 weeks. And aiming to go faster lol. For example I read a book on trading, then I started trading on my own. At first I was bad, but with time and practice and with a CLEAR GOAL IN MIND I got to learn a lot more. Now I'm having more or less 5 to 20% returns on investment monthly. And I'm only 19 lol. Now i always thought I was stupid and I wouldn't make a anything, but when I realized my personality CRAVES KNOWLEDGE I changed my path for seeking this goal. I think intps desire to improve is natural, though it's not obvious how to do it and the difficulty of the task a lot of times undermines us. Atomic Habits is one of this kind of books that teaches you how to be better yourself. ATM the most useful book I've ever read and it's doing wonders for me. Sorry long comment I just wanted to help others like me who struggle with their Identity and want to strive in life.

@@seniorsalesmen4830 actually no. He behaves like an INTP/ISTP mix, both in books and in the TV show. Mycroft is the INTJ. If you think that Sherlock is an INTJ because he sometimes made plans, well, every INTP can make good plans (actually every personality can make it), the problem is that if it's not necessary the schedule won't be followed by the INTP.
