After 3 years I am finally prepared to register for the online classes in October! This is rather random, but I'm very excited!

Have fun, take it slow and don't rush through the lessons, especially the early ones like Fundamentals Phase I & II. Hope to see you in the forums : )

I'm just curious, you said after 3 years you were finally prepared. Were you practicing the work, and felt comfortable enough to invest the money as well as the time? I love these guys and their methods, very thorough

The Russian Academic figure drawings in the book takes a long time to finish also because of the size. Some of them are nearly life size, I think. Then, of course, they don’t use photos, only models, and each student is jockeying for space and time in the class. Thanks for the video. very informative.

Instead of "Wishing" why not put in the initiative and drive to reach out? If you really desire it then go and do it. Be inspired to become that which you "wish".

@@Trid3nt861 Well, he can also apply to the online classes, however, perhaps one of the reasons he said, "I wish" instead of "I will" is the price of the classes?

His pencil roll-up tote looks to be made by the Peg and Awl shop. It's called the Sendak. The mini goes for $120, the larger for about $160. Apparently, they use recycled materials, including gun sling leather from the 1840s (very charming, in my opinion) After watching this video, I went to their website and was very impressed with what this couple does. Expensive products for sure, but I plan to pass mine on to my daughter.

If you wouldn't say to someone, that this is a Russian "drawing" book, he will probably take it, as a B&W Photography manual !!! I mean, I've seen hyper realism, but what's on that book, especially the body figures, are literally on another level!! Probably the best shading I've ever seen. Those Russians are really lucky having those art Schools! I know many Artists from Europe, who chose Russia for their art studies, instead of England France or Italy.

Very sad that the only thing this guy does is showing his ego, and still there are people who thinks he is a good teacher. The only thing he "teaches" is copying realistic stuff, with already talented students.

@@VoditelIkarusa He is all about showing his ego with realistic drawings. His classes, channel everything he does is for his giant ego. And what he "teaches" is basically making already talented and intuitive artists copy things. I know how these "atelier" artists are. It is all about ego boosting, unhealthy mindsets (this guy is full of this, how you all don't see this?) and wasting people time making them believe they are being teached when they actually are doing 100% of the work by using their intuition.

I mostly agree with what you say. That is the state of almost all art channels on youtube. They promote their own personas, rather than having unique substance. But to be fair, Jeff is a good speaker and has a lot of experince, and some people watch him for motivation and guidance. His artistic style is not everyones cup of tea, not my actually, but i still like watching his videos. On the topic of copying stuff, everyone probably should do it to some extent. Although it would be nice to see more unique content, there should be something more after copying some amount of work, some unique takes, compositions, gestures, just... something. I just can't believe that is it, the hight of artistic ambition.
