Welcome to my channel! First off, you should know my wife wrote this for me (Triumphant Tiff). During this video I discuss a bit of my background. I was just a normal kid living a normal life being my extraordinary self when BAM! cancer. Despite my multiple brushes with death, I still completed my bachelor's of science and 2 advanced degrees (including one from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine) on HARD MODE. I included some visuals to help you understand what chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants are like. I show pictures from the motorcycle accident where my body was tossed 40 feet off my bike, giving me a TBI (traumatic brain injury). There is a silver lining at the end though, I promise. It's still being written, right now. . .

When you turn that corner you are presented wit a new view, and with it a new perspective. I'm elated to see that come into focus for you. Your story is one worth telling and I, for one, can't wait to hear more - and indeed see more from you and the Triumphant Tiff!

Had no idea Matt. That’s incredible. You always were one more thing: persistent. Would love to keep following and hear more about any particular intrapersonal musings and/or emotional battles during your time in isolation.

Aww, thanks best friend! I don't look down on people who just want something that pays the bills, but I need more. I'll answer that question in the next video.

Your collision reminds me of when I was rear ended by a drunk driver in Houston. I remember the impact, and gripping the steering wheel as I saw the horizon rotate 45 degrees. I had time to think "Don't go over the edge!" since the beltway is a few dozen feet off the ground, and woke up after I came to a stop. I knew my car was jacked up, but when I got out to inspect it, one of my wheels was broken off and "ATOYOT" was stamped into the body. I think it's interesting to hear this story from your perspective, since from my reference it was "I met this guy. Oops I'm married now. If you're in Bmore come to the BBQ!" What I've told T in the past is that while our paths might not go in the way we expect, as long as our linear regression has a positive slope, we are still doing alright. Thanks for posting!

Oh man, that's a really bad accident. How did someone rear end you going fast enough to do all that? I remember seeing the car at the last second and thinking, "So I guess this is happening." Then trying to hold onto the handle bars as hard as I could. Y = mx + b?

@@khimiracle7188 Khimiracle I was accelerating up the on ramp, and had just gotten into the highway. I was doing 70, and the guy nailed me, so I guess he was easily doing 100. I was still in the acceleration lane when I got hit, so I don't know if he was behind me or had drifted into my lane, but he hit my rear, then I got sideways, started to list, then hit the retaining wall. When I woke up, he had driven off, and a tow truck was pulling up, because they straight up patrol Houston highways. Imagine a scatter plot with points being moments in your life. As long as they have a positive correlation, then you're doing OK even if you are having your lowest point right now. study.com/cimages/multimages/16/Pos-neg_correlation.PNG

That's really bad, I've never had a high speed accident before. Sounds like you were unconscious for a long time. Were you injured badly? Any cognitive symptoms? Yeah, I understood the terms. I was trying to make a joke... it wasn't my best work

I'm not sure how long I was out, but I didn't get injured. The worst that happened is that I had a little PTSD while driving for maybe a year. For whatever reason my airbag didn't go off, so I feel very lucky that the initial impact wasn't head on, but I wonder if getting my brain jostled that hard affected me at all. I know that after the accident I have become somewhat more aggressive in my demeanor and it's much easier for me to spin up into a frenzy, but who knows? The PTSD could have caused that too.

You had to have been out for at least a few minutes, which is considered moderate severity by some (there's not a lot of consensus on brain injuries). That definitely sounds like symptoms of a brain injury. Not that there's any benefit to it being due to a brain injury.
