Very educational & informative. Definitely a fave, because it showed the very core of Kosho Ryu & how Kempo is related to it. Also, now I fully understand the logo =D!
A very good evening. We must realize that kosho Ryu Kempo or any other martial art which we study is not for fighting. You train to fight but you do not fight. In martial arts you are not allowed to punch or kick your opponent except in training. Verily martial arts teaches us patience. Verily martial arts teaches us patience. Patience to those who study Kosho Ryu Kempo and the martial arts.
What a crock pot of BULLSHIT karate isn't for fighting ? Well then guns aren't meant to shoot people ! A martial artist who doesn't engage in kumite randori kickboxing excetera is just a poser. Martial arts have saved my life in real combat. Anything else is garbage.💪🏾🙏💪🐅🐉 🙏🏾🐯
I have nothing against Kosho Ryu or American Kenpo or any other system, the only concept I don't like here however is Juchnik teaches very specifically that Kosho Ryu Kempo is NOT A STYLE @ 05:54. However Ryu literally translates too style or system. So by definition this one and only premise that his argument is based on is wrong. Kosho Ryu means Kosho Style Kempo. I get the philosophy here, it's noble. However if it's not a style, alter the name to say something else.
If you had studied what you pretend to be able to comment on, then you'd know that it has many names, and Mitose sensei used many names for it. If you judge what you dont understand, you dont leave folk with a very positive view of you.
Actually, there is not pretending to be able to comment, because my comment is there. It's literally there and you replied to it, so your first statement is a fallacy. Your second argument about many names doesn't at all speak to my comment about flawed translation about it being called a style without being a style. To point out a linguistic inconsistency has no bearing or effect on actually studying Kenpo. So again, your premise for debating with me has no merit. Graduate college first.
