Wow Kelly, whoever created this set is a genius! Now let's face it, LF is known for the most adorable designs ever but this one is perfect for making cards for little girls (and big ones)....I can't wait to use it to make a card for my granddaughter! Oh my gosh, I can't even tell you how excited I am about this new set! It is so freaking adorable! This is for sure number one on my list of MUST HAVES from this release. I adore it. Every image is so well thought out. Your cards are all super cute, and I loved the tip about coloring their tails! This video totally made my day.

WOW! This is my first time here and I am so happy I found YOU! I've only recently begun coloring dig stamps with Copics and have started a very small collection. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about using them. RU-vid recommended this video to me after I watched a Sandy Allnock Video. I LOVE mermaids and this set is SO ADORABLE! I've never made cards and have none of the supplies you've used here (except for my small Copic collection). I'm blown away & now I want it ALL! You have totally inspired a creative spark in me! Unfortunately, I am disabled and live on a very tight fixed income. It would take me years to amass the tools needed to make something like this. I don't really know where to start, especially since it will take too long. Should I buy the stamp set, a cutting machine, inks & those blending tools: where do I start? I'm so excited about doing this, my mind is just spinning with ideas! I sure hope you read this and can give me some idea of where to start. Thank you so much for making me totally light up and grin from ear to ear!

+Janey G I am so glad that you are so excited about crafting!! :) When I first started I looked on eBay and at garage sales for some used crafty items like the paper trimmer and die cut machine. It is a cheaper way to start out! You will want a few acrylic blocks, some ink pads, card stock and a die cutting machine. Then from there you can buy your favorite stamp sets and slowly acquire a collection. I hope that helps some! Call your local craft store and see if they have a garage sale coming up! :) Let me know if I can help you in any other way!

lawnfawn Thanks! I'll start looking at eBay right away. I don't drive, so I don't get to garage sales very often, but I'll keep that in mind, especially now that I know what I am looking for. We don't have "local" craft stores here; just the big ones: Hobby Lobby, Michael's, & JoAn's. Thanks for responding!

+Tiffany McGill-Parker It is that turtle! My sweet friend Shelley made it for me. She does pottery and pressed the stamp into the clay before glazing it and fire-ing it (I don't know the right terminology, haha!). Isn't it too cute? What a great idea!

Hi! The rectangle cards will fit in a standard A2 size envelope; if you make the square card 4 inches square it will also fit the A2 envelope. Thanks so much :)

I'm sorry for all my questions, but when you color the hair and face, for example, do you color the hair, let it dry, and then do the face? I saw other videos that say they do that because it smears. I wanted to see if that is true. Thank you.

Hi June, when coloring with Copic markers it all depends on how saturated the paper gets. Alcohol inks dry pretty fast unless the paper is really wet. It's a good idea to move around so new areas you are coloring aren't next to areas that have just been colored. Thanks so much for the question :)

Hello everyone. This would be a ridiculous question for most maybe but I really love the square but I don't know how to mail this size card. Would this only be a card you would hand to someone. I love the heart card on the square at the end of the video. I should of been more clear about that in the beginning of my comment lol. Thank you !!!

Hi Tricia, sometimes we do hand-deliver over-sized cards but you could also just make a smaller square card that would fit into a standard A2 envelope. Thanks so much! :)

What's a die cut machine?

Hi! A die cut machine is used with craft dies, like our Lawn Cuts dies, to cut fun shapes and images for adding to crafty projects. They are available at many craft stores and online stores. We use the Sizzix Big Shot and the Cuttlebug. Hope this helps, thanks so much!
