Teachers and school staff use voluntary home visits to form a relationship with the families of their students. Then educators and parents use what they learn from each other to help their students succeed.
Parents were influenced by the home visits by connecting with the teachers outside of the school setting. this gave the students a feeling of really being cared for.
Positive connections between parents and teachers improve children's academic achievement, social competencies and emotional well-being, though working together provide great support for children in school and at home.
