Intro to Performance Looping

This video is just what I've been looking for, thank you! I've got the RC-30 looper, but sadly haven't bonded with it. This provides the inspiration & focus to plug it back in and get it going. Nicely done, both of you!

Nice good job! I want to upgrade to voice live 3 extreme but I had enough trouble learning the VL3, for looping but when everything is laid out on a pedal board it's self explanatory I can see what he's doing.

Sean I think you may be missing a trick with videos such as these. You should find a supplier for all of these things and link to it through an affiliate link. This way people can easily find this equipment to buy and when they do it through your link, you get a percentage. It doesn't cost the buyer any extra it's just commission on the sale the same as many shops do.

THAT answers a question that has been burning for some time within my fevered brow, can pedals be used with an acoustic? Nailed that one down in style! My first experience with feedback with a piddly little 35W amp that blew me into the next room had me a little apprehensive of a second attempt of calmly plugging in my acoustic. But recurring thoughts of using a looper have not left. Very informative clip showing what can be done, the pitfalls, and solutions. Andres' stunning skill levels both with the instrument and the pedal-board was an education - Thanks again for the effort

Tip to Anders, TC Helicon's Voicelive 3 does all the things the the your pedals do (except Roland and smaller A/B switch). You can select witch instrument you loop.

Hey bro, here is a question somehow no one seems to be asking... Why can't any loop pedals let you record clean and then solo over with distortion? Why is it the loop will always change according to what effect your using!? I mean who was stupid enough to think that that is not an inconvenience? I have seen people dumbfounded online asking this same question, obviously you can put the loop after effects etc to get some other option that wont effect the loop but not if its from the amp directly because how to you put the loop before your amp? And also no one seems to have any info on how to do this with an effects loop? If there is anyone out there will the intelligence to tackle this question I am all ears because there is no info on this online.

This is the most useful Looping video I've seen and I've seen loads, it's quite amazing that almost all of the things he has on his board I have or am getting an equivalent, also, I was working on that exact Samba beat but was struggling to find an example, this is just what I needed, when you say 'Introduction to Looping' I thought you were going to say the same old stuff I've heard over and over but no, this vid is very detailed and he addresses most of the concerns I've been struggling to overcome on my own, as I say, it's uncanny that I have almost come to same conclusions, this video makes it clearer, thanks I am grateful.

Hi Sean. I really enjoyed your video. After looking at it I started to think about putting together a “rig” but let me explain something first. I have started to play guitar the last two years and have gotten serious about it. However I work full time and don’t have much opportunity to jam, which I think is a great way to practice and learn. That said, I thought it might be great to put together a couple of the pedals, devices to let me jam myself, so to speak. Sooooo, I was wondering if you could recommend some essential pieces to begin with. I already have a TV Flashback and chorus pedal. Thanks much on any advice or suggestions. John.

really cool vid ! :-).. quick couple questions 1. you guys spoke of a 13 pin adapter for the guitar.. I searched on amazon for that but couldnt find it.. could you please point me in the right direction 2. is there a looper you recommend that has a "one-step" stop, that you recommend? I have the little ditto looper but it throws me off when I have to do a quick double tap to turn it off in the middle of playing a song... sorry so long winded.. and thanks for your vids! :-)

it's interesting that synthesiser pedals are a thing these days and you can get special guitars like this with xlr type sockets to connect to a synth. back in the 80s there was this thing you could fix to your guitar, an ordinary electric, and it would do all that without needing anything special... but it never really took off. I guess loopers made the difference.
