I just purchased the whole set in 2020. Now I'm getting ready to set everything up. Love making color charts and swatches but they are time consuming. Now I can stamp out my framework and get to the fun part faster. Thank you so much for designing this set. It's my favorite stamp and die set.
First of all Nina, you are darling! I have been trying to learn to w/c for nearly 2 yrs and I have to say, colour blending does not come naturally to all of us. To me, these sets are brilliant and it is as helpful to stampers as the MISTI has been! Cudos to YOU for coming up with this! I hope in the future I can get ALL of these valuable "tools" as I am determined to learn to water colour and this release is a must have for all of my mediums. I cannot thank you enough and I hope everyone appreciates it as much as I do.
Oh Nina, I could hardly believe my eyes and ears when Lydia’s “Split Coast Stampers” video notification arrived in my mailbox! I’ve so many swatches from various manufacturers that were beautifully organized in the beginning, but over the years have wound up split between multiple binders and sketch books. I’ve been wanting to make a swatch book using 140# watercolor paper with my bind it all, but have procrastinated at the dreaded thought of drawing in all the swatches. Your brilliant creation of customizable swatches will make my task so easy, I can’t find enough words to thank you! While I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my order, I’ll be a busy bee designing the cover and cutting pages for my 140# swatch binder. The possibilities are infinite! I’m already anticipating Copics, Colored Pencil’s, Distress & Distress Oxides, and a variety of medium swatches! Better review those “30-Minute Meals” & “How to Speed Up House Cleaning” videos now, because I’m definitely going to be busy!!!❤️
I would love to get the entire set❤️ After the loss of our granddaughter 2 years ago and then going through numerous tests last year for the possibility of cancer and waiting for the results, I asked myself if there was anything in my life that I had really wanted to try...it was an easy answer...learn to watercolor! Slowly but surely I’m learning and I truly love it! This set should be on every color artist’s list (and wanna be’s like me). Not something I can afford at this time, but hopefully down the road. Another winner for Waffle Flower!
This has got to be THE most brilliant creation EVER! I hope you will connect with the many companies that produce water color paints, because they will likely want to advertise this for you! I am just in the very beginning process of becoming familiar with water color, so your timing is perfect for me! OMG - after I posted my comment, this got even better!!! Genius!
Thank you, Heidi! So glad that this will be helpful to you! Thank you for suggesting us reaching out! We would love to swatch out as many as we could and provide you with some useful information on them! -Nina ;)
These stamp sets and dies are absolutely brilliant! When I saw Steve Mitchell's video headline, I had to click on it right away because I was thinking: "WAIT! Mind of Watercolour stamp Review???!" Your video is also very helpful, I think. You explained everything very well... and, yes, we make mistakes and it's great to have a solution for them! After all, we are all perfectionists, aren't we! The colour wheel stamp and die are GENIUS!! I would love to receive a card with those elements and I am sure many other artsy fartsy creators would, too! By the way, Maria, it's lovely to see a face behing the lovely Waffle Flower creations!
Amazingly brilliant. You really put a lot of thought into this system I can't believe how complete it is. Congrats on a wonderful idea and set of products.
Brilliant! Nina, this is amazing- thank goodness for your obsession with watercolors...now we can all benefit from all your hard work and creativity! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🤗🌈🤗
You have put so much thought and ingenuity into this release!! I am so glad I watched this video, it really helped me understand all of the ways that this would help me in my crafting.
How smart is this!!! What a super fabulous idea. That color wheel is the Bomb! So well done Waffle Flower I feel like throwing a party and celebrating!
I was right - the bundles did just fly off the shelf - luckily I was able to purchase the stamp and die sets for the swatches and color wheel. You buys batted one out of the park this go round. My first introduction to your product. Excited to see what's next.
OMG Nina,,,,this is absolutely brilliant!!! You can count on me to purchase the stamps & dies as I'm just learning watercolors and Copics. Looking forward to more of your videos on using these supplies and making swatch charts / color wheels. Thank you so so much Nina!
smart, smart woman. how amazing. I came over from The Mind of Watercolor after watching his video. Send a set to Dr. Oto Kano and The Art Gear Guy and you will be overwhelmed with orders I guarantee. I will be watching for the release tomorrow. thanks so much for thinking of this and sharing.
Wow, thanks for all the examples and info. I love, love, love the color wheel. I caught a peek of it somewhere else, but I didn't see it colored in. I have to go now...gotta order some swatching stuff.
yay! no more watercolor paper and bone folder... I have swatched all our water colors palettes for me and my 3 kids, and talk about crazy lady, this will make it so much easier for me and all our color mediums... LOVE THIS!!!
I can't wait to order your swatch stamps! It is so time consuming to make your own color chart grids and you have thought of everything! I prefer to make my own swatch card for my colors as a mix of Sadie Saves the Day, In Liquid Color, and Eve Bolt style cards (see their RU-vid channels - you will probably want to send them stamps to review on their channel in addition to the previous request for the Frugal Crafter - who also owns a die cutting machine. Steve from the Mind of Watercolor did a fabulous review!) It seems I can also cut up your clear stamps to make them do most any individual idea I come up with. Can't wait till tomorrow to buy them! Thanks, Paula in Florida
Nina! I've been wondering when someone would come out with a swatch stamp!!!! I'm just terrible about making my little boxes. I am SO excited for these!!!!
You are a GENIUS!!!!👰💞 These will be used over and over for years!!!! One of those ideas that go... Why has no one ever thought to do this?!!! Can you tell these make me happy????😄 So many great reasons I love these but my fave would be the color wheel showing the colors that I have in MY stash on MY paper that I will be using...or not using thanks to being able to test it first!😉👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍ok, I'm out if things😂🙌🎬
All I want to do is swatching out my colors over and over, Dianna! It is so fun and what we learn during the process are all ours to stay! Hope you will have some new discoveries in your stash! -Nina ;)
Just ordered my swatch stamps!!! By the way, you will find the most beautiful and comprehensive paint swatches and mixing charts on Jane Blundell's blog!!! It is so helpful in deciding what colors to add to your collection and their uses. There are beautiful photographs of her hand painted swatches of all the top professional artist grade watercolors and the the most graduated color mixes anywhere! Check them out!!! (She has written a book - The Ultimate Mixing Palette - A World of Colors, and it is avail as an ebook and hard and soft cover - I have the ebook and hardcover.) Thanks for creating the swatch stamps - first of any I have ever seen! Paula in Florida
paulage1art I so agree! Jane Blundell is awesome, and has helped me tremendously! Handprint.com and WetCanvas.com are sites I often reference, bet you do too! I especially find handprint.com a valuable reference for everything one wants to know about pigment. Plus they’re all free!
Hi Nina, I just got the swatch set. It was something I have been wanting for a long time to make a catalog of all my supplies. So I was really excited to see these. I can see me using these a lot for alcohol markers, watercolor markers, and stamp pads, etc. I have a lot of color mediums. But I need a bigger grid for my watercolors. I like my watercolor swatches bigger so I can add the name and still see more of the color. I'd even like it more if the 24 grid had more room between the columns so I could add the name there. I'd like to see a 1"X1" grid at the least. I'm sorry if I'm being picky. I've swatched out my watercolors in bigger swatches and I'd like to still do that without getting our a ruler and pencil. Can you help me out? This IS a really great stamp set! You've done a great job! I just need a little more. Thank you so much Nina for coming up with this. At least you are thinking about what watercolorist need.
Yea! That is so exciting. I am so glad you have come out with these stamps to make swatching so much easier weither it is watercolor or markers or stamp pads. Every time I look around I see something else I can swatch with these stamps. Thank you so much. I can't wait until November.
I've searched your site to try to find more details about the 16-piece Color Wheels Stamp Set. There's tons of talk about the Color Wheel Stamp itself, both on your site and the rest of the web. However, there is very little information available about the rest of the stamps in the set. The words are self-explanatory, but the rest of the set could use a guide on the best way to use them, especially the seemingly random, blank, circle stamps. Is there a cheat sheet for this set?
I love this so much but I wish you had incorporated a swatch stamp that fits in the squares that I could swatch my stamp pads with. Then I could have all my mediums in one space. I just needed one full square to stamp with. Great idea though.
+Waffle Flower Crafts You mentioned 'A2' several times, which looks to be around A6 size (ISO 216 standard 105 x 148 mm or 4.1 x 5.8 in). Can you please explain what *your* A2 size actually refers to? I'm confused.
Hey Debi! Thank you for asking! A2 is refering to the A2 Sized Envelopes (4 3/8" x 5 3/4"). An A2 Sized Card is actually 4.25"x5.5". We use this size in the US because the card can be easily made from half sheet of a US Letter-Size paper. We are aware that everywhere else in the world the common paper size is A4. But A2 Sized Card (4.25"x5.5") is commonly used in cardmaking world. We say this because we also have dies for A7 Envelopes (5 1/4" x 7 1/4")
So cool! You need to send these to Lindsay “theFrugalCrafter” on RU-vid. She is an amazing watercolor artist and stamper and has a bazillion followers on RU-vid. She would be great to explain and review to stampers that follow her. TFS
