The wheel lugs are always welded off centre on the wheel rim. This allows 7 or 8 diggerent wheel track settings depending on the position of the concave wheel centre on GKN, SIRIA, SIRMAC and DELACHAUX manufactured wheels. On fixed rim industrial and PAVT wheels the track settings have a different adjustment method. The MF 6265 is fitted with SIRMAC wheels and rims on 30, 34, 38 inch diameter in 12, 14, 15 and 16 inch rim widths. Tractors were traditionally delivered with the wheel width set to suit the plough type used on the farm. With more tractors fitted with loaders, regrettably little adjustment to wheel track widths is done before delivery. Widening the track as you are doing increases stability and safety as well as frequently giving a tighter steering angle where adjustable stops are fitted. Your 6265 has an AG105 front axle with adjustable steering axle stops. You often have to swap the wheels, RH to LH side and vice versa to get the track width you want. Just a pain requiring a lot of huffing and puffing.
Thanks Graham that’s incredible knowledge and detail there. As you say it’s about safety with the loader and a job that I had been meaning to do for a while.
Just a we tip for you for painting the metal under the mud guards get the metal cleaned up and them use galvafroid paint on them. It’s expensive stuff but is high sink so as near close the galvanising u can get from a Tin. Love that shed u have there I would be happy to have it
Did the same on my 390, massive difference, actually tightened the turn on it when pulling a trailed implement. You should get an impact wrench, makes it a very simple and quick job
Time consuming job but looks much better and more importantly should be more stable especially with the loader. Just watch out when your taking those tight corners.....
