is it possible to ride horse in collection with a rope halter? what is the point of collection? higher mobility by carrying longer on the hind legs? Is it required to 'stop on the back legs'? from what I have heard, collection does not put more weight on the hinds, it puts same weight longer on the hind legs.
The purpose of collection is to keep a horse balanced. It is required to do athletic moves required in almost any equine sport. Once a horse learns to do it, the horse will do it with little help so I’m sure you could do it in a halter.
