Lovely piece of kit but potentially one serious potential flaw that will divide users. The user interface will not be for everyone with the ' Blockbuster ' style hexagons. Personally I much prefer the Fender style approach with the more graphical style of icons like little amp and pedal pictures. I guess it will be down to your preference but I feel the graphics could lead you down the dangerous path of endless tone chasing fiddling rather than actually playing your guitar!
I checked the manual for the effects and they have a pitch shifter. I’ve used a ME80 before and the pitch shifter was acceptable so it should work fine on it as well.
technically speaking, the Gt-1000 features higher-end processing with 96khz sampling rate and 32-bit conversion through-out, compared to the GX series' 24bit, 48khz setup. Jury's out on whether it actually sounds different though!
