I spent 4 nights mid august on the lovely Forget Me Not with my daughter and my dog for my daughters 18th birthday. Our experience was amazing, breathtakingly beautiful and medicinal for the soul. At times a bit hairy/scary though hilariously funny whilst confidence building at achieving something new. Sylvia, Kathryn and Kate are absolutely beautiful souls who made booking and the whole experience easy and a dream come true. I genuinely can not wait to book again with these ladies and get back on the beautiful Lancaster canal on one of their lovely, homely narrow boats. Thank You Lancaster Canal Boat Hire Holidays :)
We were first to get away on this boat. Lancaster canal wonderful. Boat had a few issues. Few things missing but owner brought them straight to us 'Wiggling' the TV/radio/DVD player aerial didn't cut it but a week into the holiday the owner brought us a brand new TV. Unfortunately, as the owner suspected, the boat was leaking coolant but again the owner acted and got an engineer out to fix it. Other little things annoying - like fire not cleaned out, but mainly BEWARE of the bed which is basically the dinette made up with cushions that are SOLID ...a real back breaker. The toilet/shower is the smallest ever experienced...no room to swing anything let alone a cat! I would say unpreparedness of boat after lock down bit of a spoiler but canal wonderful.
We've got everything crossed, hoping that the government allow "overnight" staying in time for our booking! Enjoyed the very well made video "Forget me not" looking very inviting.
