Awesome reaction! I remember when this first came out. There was so much division over this song and he was being attacked more than Tom MacDonald for a time (then they did an album together). Just a little while later and ppl can actually talk about this video without going off.
Love her face expression of "surprise".... our Adam, as Tom, Dax, Brandon, Samson or Nova, are truth speaker. Freedom of Speech. Love it. Great reaction. Love your smiles. Much love for you all ❤🙏🇪🇦
Rebel flag. That is not the flag of the Confederacy it is only the battle flag of the Confederacy. The actual flag of the Confederacy looks a lot like the original flag 13 stars in a circle the reason for the Battle flag is so the union and the Confederates could tell each other apart on the battle field. It was never the flag for the Confederacy it was a battle flag and maybe a few state flags incorporated the battle flag. But yeah the Confederate flag actually looks a lot like the original American flag after we gain our independence from Britain. The Confederacy had all kinds of flags and we just eventually settled with the flag with the big old blue x an stars for the battle flag. I get what you're saying but saying that is the flag for the Confederacy is just historically inaccurate if ur talking about it being Confederate States of America's flag as a whole nation. Its just battle flag and it was only used so the Union and Confederate could tell each other apart because we didn't have just one uniform like they tell you yes the union usually wear blue but believe it or not they were wearing gray too same goes for the Confederates they got sick of shooting their own people by accident. 😂
Wow! I never knew this! Is there a book or something that you would recommend? I absolutely LOVE learning history!❤ Edit: Knew about the uniforms (that weren’t so uniform 😂), but not the flag.
Y'all I'm from Tennessee I was raised in the projects my first part of my child hood the moved to the country so I dress hood one day then the next day will be cowboy boots and camo I love all music
I didn't even know there were projects in Tennessee. I always thought they were in Atlanta and Houston but otherwise they were a part of big northern cities. When I was in south Georgia I lived a few blocks from the public housing but we didn't consider them projects. The neighborhoods in the public housing section and the residential section were pretty much the same. If anything, the public housing was better because it was newer construction. You had carpet and your floors didn't creak every time you walked across them, power wasn't going out every time it rained, and your pipes weren't freezing in the winter.
If either of you said that's "some ***** shit", that is a separation statement, meaning you are separating yourself as a black person, from OTHER black people. EVERY time I have heard this come from a black person they are referring to something ANOTHER black person has done/does, that they would not do. You are therefor using the term in a derogatory manner by associating the term with a negative action. Then being upset if a white person says the same thing LITERALLY creates and promotes a double standard.
Personally, I believe if a black person did it, that was around the same popularity as Adam, it wouldn't have gone anywhere. It's messed up to say this, but because a white man just spit out the "N" word it created a buzz. I haven't found one non-white reactor that was actually offended, but I seen tons of white people offended which is funny to me. I get the message, but I think Adam knew exactly what he was doing when he made this song, and probably expected more backlash than "banned in California".
I'm from an area where it's almost all white people. From 2004-2010 I lived in North Carolina where it was about 50/50 white and black, and the way you think about race, how it's not near as much as the news would lead us to believe. When I left north Carolina in 2010 nobody was talking about racism, I assumed we had moved on from it. Think about what it is, pigment in skin changes people to have a different brain? It never ever made any sense to me at all. Anyway, I truly believe almost people think like you and I, where, instead of hate comparing stereo types, we find stereo type comparisons hilarious. I believe we do away with racism by laughing at stereo types, mocking those who want to hate over stereo types, and stop listening to the media, understanding the media has a huge financial motive to keep racism alive. Sadly many would not ever watch the news if it was happy, and reported on puppy dogs and rainbows, people watch the news for the drama. All of us, no matter what color our skin is, are broken, and because of that we want to see the brokenness of others. Understanding this about ourselves is the first step to end, for good, racism in my humble opinion.
I'm half country half hood. Was very eery about this song at first but we got different sides of white. He just brave enough to say it and make us realize we all the same and coming together will help us more than being divided. Real love to everyone til you show your ass.
the whole reason the 'n-word' is a conversation is because of 2 conflicting thoughts being prevelant simultaniously. generally speaking, because there is always cross over, in white america the prevailing idea was; its rude, stop saying it. in black america, the prevailing idea was; its used to describe us anyway, lets own it. but because society was what it was, and lacking a means of cummunication as convienient as the internet. these ideas did not realy come into public conflict, so it was never resolved. it sort of pops up every now and then, but it gets burried quickly. the problem is; everyone needs to be on the same page, you can't really start small. the word's too... lets say; charged. so it can never gain traction. and you get silly ideas like the accent its said in being relevant to whats meant by it. i just find cultural fuckery like that interesting.
The issue is with stereotyping, anytime you make a blanket statement about something, you aren't taking into account the other perspectives that make up the complete picture. The stereotypes are what is perpetuated by the media and news, never the complete picture.
Hell yeah dude i just found your channel awesome do a reaction to steel panther party like tomorrow is the end of the world. Yall are awesome together.
He actually said it with the a and not the hard r, he did rap battles on the south side of chicsgo and gained the respect, also to him with the a it means homeboy, or my dawg, cause he hung around those guys
Im 57 yo white man yes i said it hehe i have a bit of a story but i wanted to say i love Butters attitude and bright smile, thank you ShXt for your content, also im a HOG. On to the story when i was 35 i started my own business and sat in front of the city councel with my business proposal seeking some start up funds i was turned down because quote from the councel ' We have no funds for you because i was not a minority or female" end quote just to point out no priviledge here, i hold no ill will towards anybody for that in fact i am better off with out it and im doing just fine, i adopted a brother and sister who are black when they were 6 and 7 and now they are 17 and 18 and love them dearly, i point this out to say screw the stereo typical old white man :), but i also wanted to dole out some advice to minority and females and that is go study how to write a business plan in whatever you want to do and make sure it is something you may love to do and go to the goverment it may take a couple of tries but keep pushing and seek funds to start that business they have a lot of money (I pay taxes) so they have a lot use them to move forward and keep moving forward take full advantage of those funds that are just sitting there to be used up, anything a laundrymat, a small cafe, etc whatever it is, much of that money needs to be used up or it gets sent back to the goverment SO DOOOO IIIT!!!!! k im done again thanks for the content ShXt keep up the good work and stay on the Righteous side Peace!
I've been on the corner with it, caught, locked, all the hood love you could dream of. I also used to race horses, buck ride, lasso goats, all that until I broke my hip, all the trailer love you could dream of. Now none of them like me. What I'm getting at is forget how they feel. Focus on how you feel. Sometimes you'll surprise yourself.
Even though you didn't react to the song I sent,,, I said I would, so I subscribed. Hey Butter. Adam battle rapped with a guy named Mesus when they were young, only white guys, South Chicago. I'm sure you will hear Mesus too.
That comment about the jaw exercise was funny. It shocked me at first because where I come from exercising your jaw means one of two things. One of them is talking too much and to put it delicately the other meaning has nothing to do with food. So having a video open up with a suggestion to get some jaw exercise was a bit surprising.
Love and j butter's vibe on your channel. You gotta have her around more often extremely open-minded intelligent young woman and her vibe is just amazing.
He grew up in Chicago gettho ...or came to his level there I should say....got in a fight with a police officer and spent time in prison before he came out with music...respect this man and he got his gun rights back 😮
I like these reactions with Butter the most💙 You both seem like good people. You should have her listen to "white people shi*" By Tom,Adam & Dax. I think she will like it.
The first time you watched this, it had a more noticeable impact. As you show others, your the calming hand with a different perspective. Love to see her smile and laugh about wearin' cammo!
8:42 - i mean isn't it really all about context and intent? I produce beats and had a studio for a little while and would help ghost right hooks... i wrote the word for one of my boys hooks, and i was like "damn, you don't care right..." and then we just started laughing... cuz its like obviously i'm not gunna be recording and producing his stuff at 2 am smokin blunts in my studio if i actually felt some type of way about him as a person. The way i always saw it was "if you gotta ask, you probably shouldn't be saying it at all."
It's weird to see how they got that word to separate further. Within 20 yrs it went from if you use the hard R, you're racist to even if you say it along with a rap song, you're racist.
@@QualityShXt I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the current culture. If I thought you were like that, I would've stopped the video, because I'm not a whiny leftist that gets offended by stupid shit.
@@QualityShXt hell I was one of the people defending you in the first videom but clearly I was wrong, because you are the one that instantly thinks I must just be another white person that thinks alk black people are the same. I will unsubscribe and be in my way!
@@Nta_winy_lftst Left, right, left, right. Stop being a sheep both sides are dumb as hell and want us to fight over left, right so they can continue to make their money.
Started as the VA militia flag.. adopted as "rebel flag" when VA started rebelling (winning) small altercations.. more areas carried it to try and scare British.. it eventually spread.
