Same, My Pro-800 with lots of effects is how I get away with sounding good(ish). Or lots of distortion, reverb/chorus on my guitar sounds great and hides the fact I just know two power chords. You cant even tell when I miss one or two of the strings. If you cant make it as a "modern" musician now a days it because you are trying to hard.

What? “Extra BPF? not only do the LPF + HPF = BPF already, if u wanted additional BPF (can’t think of why), you could run signal thru external input and use the hi cut & low cut to achieve this. But I still cannot imagine why you’d want to. Also a 3rd oscillator would be a departure from the classic Ms-20 design, and u can already add a 3rd osc if u want via the ESP input, u can get a standalone oscillator (eurorack module), feed it CV/gate from K2, and route ESP to “EXT IN”. I use my Roland jx8p for a third oscillator

It´s cool but I think it is time for Behringer to bring us new polyphonic synths instead of reissue of those old ones. We are still waiting for CS80, Jupiter 8 or PPG clones.

Are Behringer synths like this one actually fully analog? Like if you took it apart there'd be tons of wires in it and not just a cpu. If so I wonder why digital synths cost so much in comparison. Digital may have more features, but they soukd be cheaper to make,right?

Yes its fully analog. And none of the knobs send or receive Midi just like the original.

Digital are much more expensive to make, because you need a team of hardware developers and a team of software developers. Also, developing code takes more than adapting existing hardware schematics.

If the Neutron is anything to go by, the LFOs are digital, so that they can be synced to MIDI. Apart from that, I believe everything else is analogue.

These are some welcome additions! However, it's already out there in the wild and I'm seeing various reports about the filter resonance dropping off quite a bit after an hour of use. It's only happening in the mk1 filter mode.

@@fakshen1973 yes it's a shame! I was holding off from the first version of the K2 because I always wanted the mods as found on Korg's MS-20m. Great to see them coming to the K2 MK2... Hopefully they can fix the filter.

Ooh. Ooh. I was never interested in the K2, because I have an OG Korg MS20. But a mk2 that’s an an enhanced MS20? Take my money. The oscillator sync sounds amazing. This idea of a clone building on and extending the potential of the original is something I love.

I liked mine so much, later I bought a second so I could run lead and bass, or stereo with a bit of variation. I can't tell you how much use I get, or how much I love the sound. Looks as if I'm buying a sort of third module. Well done.

Well spotted, I made this video over a year ago, so if you look in my newer Behringer promos you'll see it's no longer there, sold it a while back. Nice mixer but the interface was pretty terrible latency wise and I now got a prism anyway.

I want a pitch-to-cv converter that can “translate” both cv protocols so Korgs and Yamahas can play with Moogs and the like. I’ve been hoping this revision might have that sort of utility. I might get my hands on one to experiment.

Its great that you put out new synths but these features we wanted allready on the first version. We expact not an exact copy of an old synth. we expect/want the old synth with the extra bling blings. Make it smash allready from the beginning and from mark 1. Make this for all next synths. THat OSC sync is killer feature . I have the Mk 1 and frankly I would buy the Mk 2 just to get the white text on the panel . I find the dim gold writing on the Mk 1 illegible in all but perfect lighting .

That’s called wave shaping which this doesn’t have. This modulates the width of the square wave pulse.

I might trade this for my MS-20 mini. Love the new features! Just why is that midi input on the front panel? That's like putting the filter frequency on the back. Wait... it is on the back!... Just kidding. With the midi socket on the back i'd order it right away. Now i have to check if it can be modified. Any news on the vcs3 clone by the way?

There's always a midi input on the back (as well as the front) with this format. The reason one is added to the front is for people who want to rack it in their Eurorack cases, for that you have to have a midi connection on the front.
