Maxim Emelyanychev becomes Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra from September 2019.
Maxim conducted the SCO and SCO Chorus in Haydn's The Seasons on 11 & 12 October at Usher Hall, Edinburgh and Glasgow City Halls with soloists Lucy Crowe, Andrew Staples and Neal Davies.

I found him in collaboration with JJ Orlinski, phenomenal conductor, there is music in every fibre of his body, wonderful to watch!

I just saw him conducting a selection of baroque pieces in Aberdeen. Absolutely stunning. The energy he has and the pure pleasure he gets from his job is mind blowing. Congratulations.

"Electricity in the air"?Well, he certainly has that, in spades! A big change from those conductors who hardly move a muscle ( " Is he still alive?"). Also, he looks ridiculously young. A talented young man who can readily communicate his own excitement and pleasure in music, just what we need right now.

Admiration totale pour ce génie de la musique ( chef d'orchestre à 12 ans !) , sa passion, sa polyvalence , ses choix de chanteurs qu'il stimule, met en valeur... Parfois même il s'invite franchement dans leur jeu comme il le fait avec Fagioli . Et il est jeune, atypique, sympathique et sans baguette !

Hi there, the piece is Haydn's The Seasons. Unfortuantely we don't have the full concert filmed but Maxim will be conducting our streamed concert of Bruch Violin Concerto on 25th Sept. We hope you will tune in.

Scottish Chamber Orchestra awesome! Please post the excerpts of him conducting The Seasons! It will be great watching a bit more even if not the full piece! Looking forward to Bruch’s live! Emelyanychev is fenomenal!
