Kinda worried. But I can say that some smart effects is fine since they try to match with the sounds and you can’t do that with regular reverb unless you automate everything. But yeah going for a “smart” DAW is too much. I hope it doesn’t go down that road.

Well, I do use Orb occasionally to compose new ideas. We're well on the way to that level of automation. And we might be worse off because of it!

@@SoulCrushersMusic I haven't tried Neutron 3. I use Ozone 8, VocalSynth 2, and RX7... they all run quick. I'm on a 2 year old gaming laptop. If you have trouble with CPU usage, just print/render the result and keep a copy of it unedited + the "working settings" in case you want to make adjustments later. (and keep that turned off). I used to do that all the time.

Yes! The plate, room, chambers, and hall have the ambient reverb sounds you're looking for.

Clean means less resonances meaning more surgical post eq airy means less low and mids content in the reverb its that simple

That’s not something Izotope will probably do. Chords are up to you Izotope doesn’t have to do that for you. I would say Izotope is where they extend the possibility’s of sound. If you need chords that much just learn music theory or search up common chord progressions.

I'd love to know how that is possible, since Mac OS actually uses all cores distributed specifically, especially if using Logic Pro X. Plus Mac OS actually really uses the DRAM. Windows is so clunky because it has to be so backward compatible all the time. Comparing to a new Mac Pro (late 2013 and beyond) is what I'm referring to. I'm both a PC and Mac user, and it would be great to hear your input.

@@dbfromvinestreetrecords1888 what ive noticed is most people who purchase pcs never purchase the ones with accurate computing power or ram just like mac they pick the ones that have the most gimmicks or because the guy at the store said "but its good doe". My HP Omen 30 has a i7 core with 32 gb hyper X ddr4, split storage with 2tb 7200 rpm and 512 gb ssd with multiple expansion slots and a rtx 2080 super graphics card

@@personalx-ph9fq PCs are way cheaper, no doubt, but Macs just run forever. I got my Mac Pro in 2015, it's the one that looks like an waste paper bin, or an ashtray, lol. But it's a thing of beauty. 12 core Intel Xeon with 2T SSD (upgraded from 1T myself), 64GB of DRAM (upgrade myself from 32GB), and 2 2GB Graphics cards splitting the work. Since this unit has no slots for anything else, I also have an external thunderbolt connected PCIe with the RMA Raydat for Audio; everything connected light pipe ADAT and it works flawlessly. The graphics power is more for the illustrating community doing the the high end rendering, but regardless, they make sure the GPU doesn't pull on the CPU. The main thing is the Apple OS is built on a more pure Unix Kernel and while Windows is trying to get there, they are bogged down with the backward compatibility for every hardware maker on the planet. But yea, stupid expensive; my justification is that it will be a ten year machine for sure. I'm already in 5 years and it hasn't skipped a beat. It's not a bad value to get a Late 2013 Mac Pro now though as they appear to be available for between $2-3K. For making audio, you can't beat the Time Machine Realtime backup. PCs have nothing that compares. You can literally get a new Mac, plug in your Time Machine disk and restore everything. When you get a new Mac and turn it on, it askes if you would like to load the OS or load with a Time Machine. Pretty cool.

Adam Shaw I haven’t experienced this with their newer-gen plugins. Older plugins like Iris 2 can be insanely CPU-heavy, and even Nectar 3 could use some optimization to bring it in line with this generation. But Neutron 3 is super lightweight, and even Ozone 9 is light enough for me to run it on individual channel strips (after tracking) without bogging down the system.

Yeah their getting better, they want us to keep using the plugins.lol

I use i7 8700k and Ableton 10.1. They're getting better but I find other plug-ins like TDR a lot lighter. I try to be careful and optimise my projects, but I find some of the Ozone mastering chain can glitch like hell.

i was thinking the same thing... but Sonible's reverb is really easy to use and I've got quite a bit out of it. Now what interests me about this one is the comparison tools for overlap and ai eq correction... Sonible was first, but Izotope is just about everything else ;)

@@boimesa8190 Solid point, I'm going to trial it and if it works out I'll pick up the loyalty offer, I'm almost always down for spending money on anything that makes life easier ;) Fab Pro R was my main go to, but I've started using Sonible's smart reverb a lot recently... If Izotope has perfected the process, that's just time saved in the chair and worth every penny!

Yellow Mellow It’s definitely not magic, but the Blend Pad and auto EQs are amazing for speeding up the workflow. I’ve been super happy with it, and I’ve only scratched the surface at this point.

Why mix yourself at all? What you’re saying makes no sense, you want AI to fix your mix automatically? The day they release that your job will become irrelevant.

Isn’t that what Reverb Assistant is for though? Just start there, and you might not feel a need to tweak. I got a great go-to sound after about 20 minutes of playing around with Reverb Assistant. Definitely less intimidating to me than the Exponential verbs!
