I bought one the ovens you released this year for my husband's birthday. To say he loves it is an understatement! The pizzas are amazing. Well done guys on an great product!
This looks amazing. I've been making a lot of my own doughs and pizzas at home since being in self isolation. This is a really cool product and I appreciate the live stream so we know how it functions in real time, with no camera gimmicks. Looks awesome.
My wife bought me one. I was really impressed. There was some initial confusing because I didn't want to fill the hopper with the wood pellets, but once I did the burn was continuous and the temperatures got high. I measured a high of 850 with the infrared thermometer. I've seen reports that it gets up to 930 and I'm guessing the altitude (a mile high in Denver) is keeping the oven from getting to the maximum temperature. Still, the smoke from the fire and wood pellets really adds to the flavor of the pizza. I would recommend a 12" pizza peel/paddle as a mandatory accessory for the oven (the opening on my model will not fit anything larger). I didn't have one, so I had to make mini pizzas and put them in with a regular sized spatula. I've got a 12" peel and a smaller 8" turner on order. Overall, it's a wonderful oven. My mom is from Spain and said that her mom cooked this way and the smoke really added to the taste of the food. I can see myself trying to cook as many types of food as I can in this oven.
My Ooni fyra is too hot, after 15-20 min the stone has 550°C +. How to reduce cooking temp? Adjust chimney? Keep door open? (then the flames cames out from back) I use oak pellets
Great video. The oven sells itself, so no need for infomercial hype. Honest and real. Thanks! (From a soon to be Fyra owner -- pre-ordered today.) Fyra also is a good sibling name for it's fraternal twin Koda, which I already own. Four letters each, the "ah" alliteration. I guess the next one should be Fusa, based on nuclear fusion. Feed the deuterium into the hopper, and good to go! (The camera crew gets the burnt pizza?)
Hi there! Awesome to hear from you, thank you for spreading the Ooni love 🍕 We are glad you love our products. Don't worry, when there is an Ooni oven fired up - everyone around is getting their hands on a slice! >JM
Nice elastic dough I see. Fyra meaning four, and fyr means fire in Swedish in case you wonder, so it is a clever name after three. This is now on my wish list.
Just had a delivery of 10kg fuel pellets..until you use this oven you'll never know how good it is..my wife makes the fresh dough..tastes better than any pizza anywhere..We have the Ooni 3.!.
maybe the closed door creates some sort of insulation, quickly cooking the pizza. If the door was open I would assume there would be some sort of airflow coming in considerably cooling the internal temperature of the oven.
With the door off, the chimney doesn't draw air in through the vent at the back, so the flames just go up and out the back! You need to keep the door on to draw the flames across the top inside the oven to cook the top.
I bought this oven after witnessing Kristian's undeniable pizza making skills and the real time demo of the oven. I'm loving it more every time I use it. This is for real pizza napoletana lovers, needs some practice (and an infrared thermometer) but the result is the one of the best pizzerias. It kept all promises for me, heat up in 15 min, temp adjustability with the chimney valve, enough pellets to cook 4-5 pizzas with 1 tank, portable and fairly light, easy to setup and clean (only empty ashes from pellet tray). It worked flawlessly for me in 30 degrees summer heat, or near freezing temps and even under a light rain. Big congrats from an Italian pizza fan who lives abroad and has finally managed to get hold of a good pizza thanks to Ooni.
Hello🍕When pellets are topped up and the door is left on, the flame will be pulled forward through the oven and to the chimney. Heat will only appear at the back of the oven when the door is removed so this will happen very infrequently - this will not affect the finish on the back. Ooni Fyra is designed to last and the warranty can be extended to 3 years via our website.
Definitely! It's so easy to use; just load up with pellets and light them up. Like I mention on the video; a few days ago I cooked 4 pizzas back to back with just one loading of pellets. No need to touch it or anything. Just light, cook and you're done :)
I can vouch for that, the Ooni (model Uuni 2) was my first pizza oven and it's so easy to use. The only real problem I've had is that it gets so hot that it's easy to get distracted and forget to check how the pizza's cooking 😂
Hey Craig, they're starting shipping now in May but in some markets we've already run out of inventory for May and thus are taking pre-orders for June. Shipping estimates on the website are accurate.
Hey Bea, yes that might increase your cooking time slightly, since with more topping you might have a thicker base as well. You're pizza will still cook in less than couple minutes! Hope this answers your question! ❤️🍕
Hi I never post reviews but I just had to for this Ooni pizza oven O.M.G IM IN LOVE like other’s my beautiful wife bought me one as a surprise she knows I love cooking pizza’s and have been doing so for many years in my kitchen oven now I have this really cool looking peace of kit to do it and I cannot believe how incredible this pizza oven is it cooks in 90 seconds but the taste is like what we experienced in Naples you can never ever go back to any other pizza if you are wondering if you should buy it please don’t hesitate you will not regret it and you will taste pizza like the authentic Italians eat she also bought me the metal pizza peel, the laser thermometer ( such a cool gadget but essential to know when it’s at the right temperature) and the stainless steel table. I also wanted to say how amazing the delivery process was they use DHL and quite frankly I don’t know why anybody uses anyone else so efficient and thoughtful well done Ooni & DHL
In such a short amount of cooking time, no. Ive owned a fyra and koda. For pizzas, no difference since they cook so fast but if ur gonna cook meat or roast veggies at lower heat for longer time, u will be able to taste the wood flavor.
I laughed when you said that it makes a perfect pizza everytime. I thought I had just witnessed the second pizza quickly escorted off camera. Instead of the ideal "leopard spotting", it looked more like a black bear. For me a pellet fed stove is not as good as wood. Propane is even better in that one doesn't need to keep an eye on the heat source. But I am sure that is why the company makes so many models that utilize various heat sources. The Karu also can burn pellets, but it doesn't have a feed tube, so they would have to be added in small intervals. Thanks for the video, you have revolutionized backyard pizza ovens.
Great product. We love ours. Complements our pellet grill quite well. Only issue I have is the flue will not stay in the "full open" position well (after just 2 cooks. Otherwise, we're creating excellent pizzas and garlic breads
Thank you for your feedback! We're so happy to hear you're loving your Ooni! If you have any issues or concerns please reach out to our support team here: support.ooni.com/contact/contact-form-r1prEEEGj 💛🍕
I think not, you should consider ooni karu instead of this. I've a uuni/ooni 3 and the problem is find the beech pellet. The ooni pellet is very expensive in italy (€40-60 for 10kg on Amazon). I think the Karu is better choise for use with cheap beech wood chunks, gas and why not, beech pellet. In italy many pellet stoves use soft/pine woods sometimes mixed with hard wood, for this is hard to find beech only (hard to find but there is an cost €5/€7 x 15kg)
Kristian, If you’re reading this then please respond because I have had horrible experience with your online support staff giving me inaccurate information. For example, I asked if the Ooni Classic 12” peel has handles (why doesn’t it by the way?! Makes no sense) and 1 person said yes and the other said No. Which is the correct answer? Also I asked about the Frya bundle and how it saves money if the total is the exact same amount as the bundle itself (I calculated the price of each item) and NOBODY was able to answer my question. They said someone would email me but nobody has. Then I asked when the Frya would be delivered. One person said August. The other said he wouldn’t be able to give me “insider information.” What does that even mean??!! So I started to do some research and found out that I’m not the only person having this bad experience with your customer service team. I’ve been really excited to preorder the Frya but after such poor customer service I’m rethinking this idea. I’ve been a fan of your products for a while now but never really thought about getting one till now. Since it’s summer I’d like to have the Frya and use it this summer. But now I’m not sure. I saw another video on the Roccbox (which was my initial #1 oven of choice) vs. Ooni and one of the things the guy mentioned was that Roccbox is made in the USA and has excellent customer service. I’m very worried now and back to square one. I don’t know which pizza oven to purchase: Ooni or Roccbox. I’m attracted to the Frya because it’s portable and uses wood pellets but if there’s an issue down the line I want to know that I can count on someone at Ooni to help me out.
Hello Katherine🙂if you got in touch with our Live Chat team, they are there to help out with basic questions. Ooni Pizza Ovens Hey Kristian, Thanks for responding! I really want to get the Ooni Frya but I heard that it won’t ship till late July and I won’t be getting it till August. Is that accurate? This is what one of your online representatives said. So I found it at Williams Sonoma online. Why is it in stock there but not at Ooni itself? Anyway I’m trying to decide whether to get it from them or order it straight from Ooni. What would be the difference? Again, I went online to chat with someone at Ooni about this and they couldn’t answer my question. Also is there a reason your pizza stone is thinner than Roccbox? People are saying that Roccbox is a higher grade than Ooni and built better specifically because of the pizza stone. I also heard from some other people online that theirs came cracked which is such a pity because waiting SO long for an item and then having it come cracked is terrible! If you could speak more about these issues it would help me make my decision. Thanks, Katherine
Hello Katherine 🍕 -About the stock and delivery query: Retailers request sales orders from our sales team months in advance in order to keep their stocks updated. We like to make sure that our stock is always up to date and plentiful over at ooni.com in order to avoid any disappointment. However, over the past few months, we have received an overwhelming volume of orders through our website which has led us to creating pre-order options for many of our products to ensure that nobody misses out and can secure an order when we receive new stock in our warehouses! Sales orders that have been organised in advance will still go ahead and so there may be times where third party retailers have stock available while that stock is not readily available over at ooni.com. -About the pizza stone query: We engineer our products to balance heat up times, recharge rates, and cook rates. That’s why each product has different thickness stones, for example Koda is 10mm while Koda 16 is 15mm. In our testing, we haven’t found performance improvements to justify the increase in cost to the customer to increase the thickness of the stone overall. Hope this helps❤️🍕
@@kristiantapaninaho9776 I don't like the aspect of having to always put the door back. Why is it so and why does the Koda model doesn't need a front door? Is the Fyra less efficient?
Online stores in Australia that your website suggested :- out of about 10 only 1 store actually sells the Ooni Fyra. If you want a market in Australia you need to review your suppliers and pricing. Just saying.. :)
Became aware of your company about 2 years ago... My buddy got the Koda and I was blown away by the pictures he was posting and the quality of the pizza, calzones and even breads! But when I saw this video at the very beginning of the lockdown, I was totally sold. I watched the whole thing and was seriously impressed with your one man show cooking demonstration, Kristian! Even making dinner for the kids - Ha! I just got mine yesterday as a super early Christmas present, as I was afraid it might sell out, and I'm super excited to fire it up today! Thanks!
for some reason I'm getting the feeling people want a gas attachment for this oven. It is easier if you decide to keep this unit on the patio and don't want the hassle of dealing with the pellets, but still have the option for the real wood fire flavor of the pellets.
Hey, we really wanted to focus this product on a great experience with pellets. And that is achieved- it's much easier to manage than Ooni 3 so it's not a hassle to deal with them in the slightest :) Like I mention in the video, you can light it, load it up with pellets and easily cook 4-5 without having to top them up! That's what most people would do. In this size there's of course still Ooni Koda for gas fired and Ooni Karu for wood, charcoal and gas fired.
Moi Teemu! Yeah we have, verkkokauppa.com already carries Ooni and some of the bigger K-Rauta stores will have Ooni very shortly. Fyra will be at ooni.com and with our retailers at end of May.
So is the frya shipping middle of may or middle of June? I chatted with a rep on your website yesterday and they said middle to late June. Which is correct?
hasan1980hb Personally, I find videos that are one take, without graphics and with natural lighting, refreshing. Life is like that, so the video has an immediacy often lacking from glitzy productions.
@@dncviorel it takes a couple of times before you get the hang of it.. It cooks so quickly. Plus we found it was a better result with not too much topping. Pretty happy overall. Lastly purchase the carry bag if you can. Its worth it.
@@dncviorel overall sturdy but then light enough to carry it without it being too heavy. The stone plate that fit inside is very well made and quite thick. The front lid is fitted very well to.. No leaks etc.
@@schumannflute7151 Thanks, you should get some discount for future Ooni purchases as you already sold one of their units. :))) Kindly thank you again!
Love the new tweaks, chimney damper, increased height, new fire box/pellet hopper and much better insulation. Have the original Ooni and love it. Make my own dough and sauce. Use it all the time! Hope MEC in 🇨🇦 will carry the new one! :)
My wife just gave me the great news that she got me one for Father’s Day. Unfortunately, it won’t ship to me until next month. No biggie...worth the wait!
Is well insulated? I noticed the stone is not. My ooni 3 have only a ceramic fiber pad and when is cold is hard to reach the good temperature. With gas it stay between 250°-350° C with 10°/15° C outdoor. I just see an italian review of Koda and it said the oves is light than roccbox beacause is not well isulated.
That's the reality of pizza making. Short of getting an oven with a rotating stone (they are out there on the market) you must turn the pizza, since the fire is on one side, whether it's the left, the right or the back; or on both the front and side as with the new Ooni that has an "L" shaped burner.
