Dad brought one home brand new from the dealer back in '79. Hubacher Cadillac on Watt Ave in Sacramento if anybody remembers them. Whisper quiet, eight track player came with a sample tape with Barry Manilow on it. Felt like you were riding on a pillow.
Beautiful! I had an ‘86 Fleetwood Brougham that looked very much like this one. At age 60, after having owned MANY vehicles, that ‘86 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham was one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.
Now 1979 was a great year for the Auto industry. Everyone I knew had that year bought one. Regardless of the car company. They were good on pricing, mileage and gas. Good times good times.
I was 5 years old when that was made and my father leased a blue on blue velor one every year. I remember coming home from the country club full of roast beef and lobster sleeping in the front seat. NICE!!!👍🏻👍🏻
No shittin! I used to have this EXACT car in a sandy tan color. It was beauty, comfort and refinement. I just saw the vid with the '78 lincoln and thought "this vid makes me think of my old caddy." And this vid pops up! Dang I miss that car. I had it sitting on 15" baby moons with white walls. There were fiber optic lines from every light bucket that you could see from the drivers seat (front corners above the headlights and above the rear window visible from the rear view mirror) so you could see if you had a light out from the drivers seat. The hood ornament was spring loaded with a switch that triggered the horn if someone tried to break it off. I could fit all the homies in it comfortably and they all had their own ashtray and ornate cigarette lighter. There was no "heater" or "A/C" but a slider for "climate control". All stock except an upgraded stereo. I LOVED that car so much. Only car ive ever owned that I'd wash and detail once a week... only one i washed at all actually. My dad almost sh*t bricks when i had to get rid of it😂 I'll buy another one someday, I promise
I knew a black coworker who bought one he loved this car. I sure miss those days lots of those workers have passed away so sad not many can say they liked going to work.
My parents Friends had one like this, except it was a Fleetwood brougham. I still remember the leather pillow top back seats. So comfortable, like a couch
My first car for my limo service was a ‘78 silver Sedan deVille. I had the mileage changed from 128k to 68 k and traded it for a ‘81 in burgundy. Eons ago!
Man the late 70 early 80 we about comfort. That antenna going like 6 ft up is hilarious 😆. I still remember the smells of my family T-Bird. These years, you could smell the flame retardant chemicals in everything 😂
