I just received one of the standard monitor mounts, and at first I was wondering why the side tension screws were coming loose so easily when I tilted the monitor mount. I brought this up with the tech support and the person thought it might be defective. Perhaps she hadn't been updated on the set screws? Only after I spoke to her, I realized that I had to tighten the set screws, which are tiny and not obvious at first glance. This video didn't exist yet, and there were no instructions provided. I'm glad I figured it out, but it might be nice to have a small piece of paper with the mount that explains this for those who don't see this video. Now that it is set up, I like it and look forward to using it for years to come.
Thanks for posting this. I agree, some included instructions would be very helpful. When mine came, it wouldn't swivel at all, and the tilt was too loose to hold in any position. After adjusting the set screws, both functions work great now.
For me it's Space Gray all the way! I love that there are multiple eco systems so you can go all in on one or mix and match for ultimate customization. The locks for the tension are just like WHAT?! Mind Blown!
I've gone through over a dozen monitor mounts in my day and this FINALLY checks all of the boxes. Loving all of my initial tests and can't wait to take it out later tomorrow to shoot. Keep it up Kondor Blue!
I ordered this monitor mount together with a complete rig for the S1H. While the rig is awesome, this monitor mount drives me crazy (especially for the price I paid): the small fixation screews just do not hold the main tension screws when the monitor gets tilted or panned which for me is elementary when going from shoulder to handheld multiple times in a row. Re-thinking the construction, I remember well a lesson on mechanical engineering during my university time when the professor told us "Never ever construct a Swivel mechanism where the friction adjustment screws are part of or in the same direction of the swivel axis - the screws will always get lose, regardless of how you fix those - ist's just a matter of the torque moments, and no locking screw (the tiny ones in this device) will ever hold up against these torque moments." I guess, he was right. So, if I had purchased this mount from an EU dealer I would just return - but sending back to the US from Germany may hold me back.

I would prefer the Nato version of this but I'm having flashback nightmares to buying another Nato system product from Kondor Blue only to find out it doesn't fit non Kondor Blue nato rails like the SmallRig I already had on my camera. Buying more nato mounts from you guys without really knowing what it will or won't fit usually keeps me from hitting the order button again.
For some reason even with the set screws tightened, my monitor mount is coming loose extremely quickly. Not sure if I have a defected part - but it’s becoming a little frustrating with a run and gun workflow to keep tightening the sides!
