He did get the right meridian. The UK leans over quite a lot and the prime meridian goes well to the East of Scotland, which is the only bit you can see.

I have always had difficulty looking at a grid like this, and not seeing the horizontal coordinates as the numbered horizontal lines, because the likes are horizontal. Then I see the vertical coordinates as the vertical lines labeled with letters, because the lines are vertical. I'll have to practice looking at it the way Eddie just described it at about 2:23.
