Hey there,
We're incredibly excited to be launching a new strand of content on JacksGap called Shed Sessions.
Last week we invited the incredibly talented Shannon Saunders to perform an acoustic shed session in our garden shed. We had a lot of fun shooting it and we're feel incredibly excited to be sharing it with you.
We want to stress this is in no way a subtraction from the 'usual' type of content we produce but an addition. We're excited about the prospect of sharing musicians that we admire whilst working to create our own original videos.

I feel like Jacksgap is more of a channel for the people, showing different cultures and people and different things instead of sticking to one type of youtuber the look and lots of different ways to show their content and thats really lovely. Some youtubers you see the same tags and challenges but this channel really looks into new things to share with us and I really love that!

I hate that all the teenyboppers are upset that Jack and Finn are actually aspiring to be real content creators. Please do not discourage them from maturing in their art. They are very serious about filmmaking and charity. Grow with them and enjoy.

+Hewer you said 'we ' I'm afraid you can't speak collectively because many of jacks gaps subscribers admire their work and aspire to achieve the wonderful things they are doing e.g travelling, helping people, giving and charity. They are producing content that's different to other you tubers who make fun vlog type videos (although those videos are great) jacks gap are creating inspiring videos that make much more of an impact on people and I think we should applaud that and encourage it because they are the kind of role models we need today. With all do respect if you don't like their current content then you can unsubscribe and not watch their videos because maybe you are not their target market. (note: I'm not trying to be rude at all)

I find it so messed up that the majority of comments are people disagreeing with the fact they uploaded music as well as their usual videos, they are still making their usual videos and this is just an addition, as it says in the description. I mean, have you heard this girls voice? It's absolutely incredible and people seem to be ignoring her sheer talent because they're upset that something different has been added onto this channel. You should be happy that jack and Finn are exploring new things to film and finding new ways of pleasing an audience. Anyway, I think this video, this song and her voice are incredible and she is very talented, it makes me angry that people can't see past one little change and see the talent this girl has.

Kimey Banaylo i agree, but i haven't seen a youtuber go for maturity and maintain fast growth. so many of the youtubers i watch say their stats show a massive female teenage audience. and watching the vidcon and playlist panels and seeing almost entirely screaming girl tweens this seems to be the case. i wonder how they're factoring this into their strategy, as i don't think this new direction will appeal to that audience which was their core as much as their old "typical" videos. but maybe they don't care. suppose at the end of the day you'd be miserable doing what you hate, so i'm sure even if they're audience stops growing significantly they'll feel more self satisfaction doing what they love.

coventgardenmartin I agree :) But I think it's very sad that youtubers who go outside of that 'typical youtube' style don't do as successfully, because I am really enjoying this unique, artistic and intelligent content! As a teenage girl, I admit I enjoy the occasional 'video for fangirls' but I find content like this much more stimulating, interesting, intriguing, provoking and inspiring. I love being give content to think about rather than always purely to entertain and I think it's wonderful to see youtubers stay true to there conviction! :)

This calms me down during my anxiety, depression, panic attacks and generally helps to fall asleep or chill down. Thank you so much, I love her voice, her playing and entire aura she gives off. It's extremely calming.

Just a tip, but if you don't have access to an electronic, there is a breathing exercise to help with anxiety and panic attacks. You breath in for four seconds, hold it for seven seconds, and breath it out for eight. Hope this helps in some way.

Dear haters, Not all of their videos need to be centred on them. Some people think its good that they are using their fame to benifit others with wonderful talents. I have to say, i'm quite happy with the road you take with your channel. Your content is really more than just giving some kind of weekly low quality video to feed fangirls. You're actually making great content ! I've been worried that youtube would be only a place for fangirls and youtube "stars". Don't listen to the people who're saying "I miss the old Jacksgap, it's not the same, i would love to have weekly video, you became boring", just keep doing what you're doing, and your channel will only become more interesting.

LOL why do people act so strict with RU-vid??? It's a video sharing site - meaning share the videos you want to - why do ppl want to start saying what people should and should not post? i watched this the day it cam out and ever since then, when jack posts a new video, i come over to this video and sometimes even have it on repeat for the whole day. I learned how to play this on the guitar and now its like my go to song. its so beautiful. and thats an understatement.

This is amazing. Those people who don't want to see this sort of content from Jack and Finn, why are you watching it then? They've always said that this channel is a place for them to put out content and that means that it will be their decision what to post. They've never been the generic vlog of challenges and day in the life videos. Yes, they have done some challenges and Q&As in the past, but so has everybody else. Jack and FInn always putting out fresh ideas, creative stuff, good content and great quality videos, so I think you people hating on this should give it a chance and remember the style of channel that JacksGap is.

Danish Mathias First of all, when I scrolled through the comments there were a lot of people saying that they weren't happy with this upload, complaining that it should be on a different channel and saying that they don't want to see more of this content here because this is not what they subscribed for. That may not be hating exactly, but it isn't supportive either. Second of all, they could have set up a camera and just filmed. I agree that filming someone singing is not the most creative video, but they filmed it in a more professional and interesting way than most RU-vid singing videos have been done, where someone just turns on the camera and sings. They changed the focus, zoomed in and out and had more than one angle. I'd call that a bit creative. Just saying.

To all the people who say 'This isn't the old Jack' and stuff like that, I'm sorry but they're not regular RU-vidrs here to feed fangirls. This is something really creative, the kind of projects they've done till date. This very creative and different from the regular 'chubby bunny challenges' stuff. If you can't handle this then you aren't ready for their maturity yet. (Sorry if I hurt you but I don't mean to hurt anyone) I am really proud of them and the new project that involves the people all around the world :) Keep up J and F xx

I feel so proud seeing Shannon getting the recognition she deserves! I used to listen to her music for ages so I feel like a proud mother seeing so many people loving her music just as much as I do :-)

I remember when Caspar put her song Heart Of Blue at the end of one of his vlog, I fell in love with her song and downloaded it on iTunes! Amazing to know that she is one close friend of yours. She's incredibly talented.

So lovely to see Shannon growing as a musician. I remember when you guys tweeted out Heart of Blue when it was first released a while back.
