Loved this the 1st time round - used it on multiple albums and still have a slightly busted up one that was modded back in the day - and I triggered with an 808 - with a 303 and a 101 - the early 80s! GREAT set up! JPMusic
This is cool and lots of people will be psyched on it . I wish it had cv over its mode selector though. That way you could get super complex drum sequences giving the illusion of multiple types of drums.
Yeah I am super psyched - but surely a missed option with no CV over mode selection. Although I understand if they want to keep things as vanilla as possible. But perhaps we can mod it? ;)
Used to play with one of these when I was about 12 in the early 80s; a friend had one on rental from the local music store. It got the perfect "Wishing" Flock of Seagulls "smash" sound. Really a cool, fun piece at the right price.
I saw Prince And The Revolution live in 85 and 86. Sure enough, Bobby had those 4 Syncussion pads alongside his Simmons drums and whichever actual acoustic drums he used
You had me at Soft Cell and Aphex Twin....yes, there are actually people like me who love both of those. I think I will sell my RD-6 for this. It will go well with my RD-8 and RD-9.
@Behringer thanks for listening to the customer. Now let's take it to the next level and create a 12 and 18 track Analog Mixing Console, like the new Harrison. Because Nobody is making an affordable Analog Mixing Console and all of the Home and Small studios are looking to purchase an Analog Mixing Console. Once Behringer creates an Analog Mixing Console, you guys will completely take over and everyone will switch to Behringer.
You guys just go from stride to stride. It's so refreshing to see a large company that actually keeps making things people want. Good job again. I'd say I would buy this, but you have about 20 things I want. I can't buy 'em all.
The SDS-8 sound is nice but the one Behringer needs to do is the SDSV. I used to have the SDS-8 sold it but still got the SDSV, so I know how both sounds. A Behringer SDSV with Clap Trap would be EPIC!
@@matthewpreston1396 drumbo is sold out and the last piece I’ve seen on reverb was sold for 450€ 😅 when behringer will make one for 99€ I will buy one❤️
Sounds great... Was the clap sound done in this as well? Behringer should remake the ClapTrap... Be good to have a dedicated old clap smack sounds like this ❤
You people at Behringer rock! Very excited about your gear recently! And this one looks very promising! Give it a good price and I would love to get it!
Lol, yeah, I missed that in the edit. Completely zoned out I guess. Was more focused on the light show VFX video editing and making the music for the video.
he said "...the eurorack SEMI-modular format" as in "their" (well technically pre-acquisition moog's since thats who they copied) semi-modular packaging (desktop, angled, wood sides, patchpoints, etc.), like the crave and neuron and all those things, not "format" as in eurorack format. seems like you were just itching to find something to rail against behringer, lol.
@@AboveTheTrees00 also my explanation was not what “semi modular is” in general , it was an explanation of what “eurorack semi modular” is in this specific context. Since there are other semi Modular’s like say the ms-20 that don’t fit into a eurorack case, so they are taking a bit of license in coining a hybrid phrase. It appears like you didn’t even get what I said in your sarcastic reply about how you already knew what I was explaining.
@@jrodohio- it’s a shame that the original manufacturers are so out of step with what people want. All these clones should have happened a lot sooner.
Yeah, finally! Behringer, give also the Korg 800 DV, Roland RS 505, Logan Vocalist, Polymoog, Farfisa Syntorchestra, EMS 2000 Vocoder and the Korg Trident II a chance, please!
I think a big missed opportunity could've been to have a mod source to change voices. Chaotic voice switches with random voltage generators, like the Wogglebug would've been so fun.
I've been waiting so so long for this, the clones out there sounded nothing like the original. Just hope someone with the OG can test Behringers. Sounds convincing though, well done Behringer, there's one synth i hope Behringer can clone and it's the holy grail of synths and once you hear it you will not forget it, Please do us all a massive favour and clone the Jomox Sunsyn.
