Just got it. Love it and it is a lot of fun. Added to the pedal board and it is a perfect addition. It has unlimited potential. It took about an hour to figure out without reading the manual. Rig= Tele into an AC30 with a bass amp for my vocals. The signal is split to the clean bass amp then routed to the remaining signal through my other pedals (HotCake, TS9, Flashback). Good value and put a smile on my face....need smiles these days.

You guys are maniacs! I only play keys ,but have a ton of "guitar" songs ,and love this. My VL3X touches on it a bit . I always loved the Frampton stuff and David Gilmore ,and wanted to be able to make these sounds ,but didn't like the slobber hose!

Just got this and it's a great little pedal. I wish, though, that there was a way to adjust gain on the talk box settings to put a little more stank on it. Unless there already is and I'm just missing it.

Hi, is there a device similar to the TC-Helicon that enhances vocals and goes directly from the mic to P.A.?? In other words, no instrument required!

Is there a way to have it come though the amp instead of the P.A.? Depending on the stage and monitoring setup, coming through the just the P.A. might be too much of a sound change from the stage sound.

Hi, I have one and want to use it without involving PA system . I managed to run the xlr out into my fx loop via an aby pedal but there is some low volume signal noise, is this noise due to hi/low z of the mic out, can i put a preamp after the talkbox xlr out ?

Can this be used without plugging an instrument into it? I’m looking for a dead simple pedal that can be used for “robot vocals” And I’m not sure if this will do the trick.

I go direct into a small mixer from a multi-FX modeller. Can I still plug into my multi-FX so I don't use up another mixer channel?

So you need a PA to jam with it at home? Also is there a demo that shows pitcher etc that just get browsed over?

What signal comes out from the XLR output and what do you do with it ?

As far as the guitar signal: 1) Is the signal coming out of the box dry or effected? 2) Do you even have to have a guitar signal coming out? If the vocal is the main effect, I just might take a dry signal out of my tuner and run that to TBS, but not worry about going back to the amp.

So I'm assuming with the "talkbox" effect, you have to actually speak into the mic, because there isn't a hose in your mouth playing the sound, right?

Can you still have your dry guitar signal fed through to your amp in the vocoder modes? Does the guitar sound in the talkbox+dry modes come through your amp or the PA? Also how much will it go for?

I use a phantom powered preamp on my mic. Will this allow the power through the mic input?

i have been using this pedal.... i run my entire guitar board through the PA and im hooking up the TC pedal last in the chain.. im getting lots of feedback when i engage the pedal.. any suggestions would help.... i dont use an amp,

Feedback/question: The pedal is great but for a home practicing scenario I think the fixed volume threshold required on the mic end is too high. I have to speak at a pretty high volume to register anything so I have a pretty heavy pre-amplification setup for the dynamic mic before it gets routed into the talkbox synth. I'm doing all of this on a desk in front of my computer so it's taking up more space than I'd like. Would it be possible to have a firmware update that allows us to somehow adjust the volume threshold so I don't have to do that?

Has there been any firmware upgrades since the release of The Talkbox Synth? If so how do I find out what it is, where to download the update and how do I upgrade? Thanks Ron

Another great video Tom, hey by chance does anyone know if i can use the Switch 6 with the voicelive play gtx? also this is a amazing sounding pedal but dang that price is way out there OMG $250.00 usd dollars, time to save up since i have the harmony G, the vlpgtx, and the vl3 allready when you find solid gear you tend to stick with it, only issue i have ever ran into with any of the pedals is the vl3 was hard locking and i would have to unplug it then plug it back in to hard reset it then it would be good to go until it decided to lock up again, but seems the last update might have fixed it because it has not done it since i updated the firmware but im not real sure either since ive only used it for about 10-15 minutes 2 times since the update lol , I still fall back the the voicelive play gtx just has always been a very good pedal and alot simpler then the vl3

i wish the demo guy had actually "sung" words instead of vowels only in order to demo its words understandibility :( . this being said does it have the same weakness/probs with s and t consonants as classic talkboxes have?

No tube ? that’s not talkbox . That’s a vocoder . In order to be a talkbox the guitar sound would have to come from your mouth to the microphone

Urgh... this is a vocoder not a talk box... why would any company call a Vocoder a talkbox?! A talkbox requires a tube going into your mouth to replace the tone of your own voice. It's like making a Fender Strat and calling it "Les Paul"...
