I know for a fact it will be. Then they will slowly release more and more titles until we get to a satisfactory level, yet they will still be missing a ton of titles. If I see something like Blasto or Heart of Darkness for ps1 or fatal frame or time splitters for PS2 I might be tempted😅

Short of rewriting entire game code for 1000 games, streaming is the best solution. It’s not economically feasible to invest in an emulator that works at the scale everyone is calling for. The way the PS3 games were coded makes it near impossible.

@@o0cacoto0o oh it was definitely worthwhile when it was introduced on ps3 bc it personally helped reassure me about games but they dropped the concept when the ps4 released for some reason, and now they’re putting it behind another paywall which is unfortunate for people who can’t afford it especially now with inflation and what not.

There's very little difference in price. Premium is still very cheap.

@@lukastemberger Thats the point, make a large gap between the cheapest and medium, and a small gap between the medium and most expensive. People are already on the cheapest, and may want to upgrade, then see the price difference and think "hm, its not that much more, ill do that one".

Eh idk. I think Extra is perfect. You get access to 400+ free games compared to normal which is just 2 - 3 games. I think essential tier isn't the wisest decision at this point.

They’re never going to do that. The economics of a game subscription service is tricky. Games cost millions of dollars to develop so they’ll always have to chase new subscribers to make money. Sony invested in game streaming which is cheaper to develop and much more profitable.
