I had made a comment on your channel asking if you guys could build a just basic preset pack with analog, tape, digital, etc. and didn’t realize that you could go to 82 and just start with the basic delays 🤦♂️
What a wonderful demo of a wonderful pedal, no surprise really coming from someone such as yourself John. I agree, that Flank preset sounds fantastic. I’m just glad a brand like Meris exist and someone who’s passion for quality and musicality like Angelo keep putting out products that clearly cater to their own ideals and standards, a Meris fan for life right here! 😊
You absolutely play such beautiful chords. Makes me realize I keep playing the same things and it gets very boring time to go back to the drawing board learn an entirely new set of chords etc
I adore the stomp but the algorithms here sound like they're of a higher quality to my ears. Not saying the price is justified, but if you're in that wealth range that you can justify buying it, it is an improvement.
Beautiful work and design. I just purchased one and I'm thrilled to dig into it. Question: at 14:15 you are speaking about the delay trails function. Did it not activate in your initial try because you switched between patches a bit too fast? Your second try seemed to work great. Just curious as that is a very important function in my setup via midi switching. Best delay i've ever heard. Amazing work. This pedal has made me a Meris fan for sure.
Hey Scott! Yeh - so I checked with Angelo at Meris - there are trails - but say because I'm switching quite quickly between presets that have really long tails, the tail from the 1st preset is still being carried over when I'm switching the 2nd preset, I think that's what is happening yeh - well spotted!
awesome video and very helpful in navigating the learning curve with the lvx! the lvx (and other meris pedals) are really their own instruments :) One question: is it possible to put the text at the top of the video or in another spot? When I pause to take notes, all the youtube video menus obscure the info. Thanks again for the deep dive!
i would really like to hear the classical basic sounds which all the crazy stuff builds up on, tape, spring, plate ect what do think how good it does them? i would like to use it as one does it all device to replicate the classical sounds mostly without all those fancy effects.
This looks awesome- relevant as I’m currently deciding what kind of delay thing to get- though my HX effects - which I plan to sell - would do the job as it has tons of great delays but it’s just no fun to use - and only three knobs for tweak-play
@@spawn302 hmmm :) bit dear- but have considered.. is it fun to tweak? does the Quad Cortex have factory presets per effect/amp model? ( like fractal ) ?
Fortunately I had some pedals to sell to help fund this, the increase in price from when I ordered it wiped out the deposit but its does sound great. Won't be selling my Stomp tho that thing is a life saver.
Why can't you be my neighbor. I'm lost in handling my rig and you have always great sound. No matter if it's a quad cortex, pod go, meris lvx..... Greeds from Germany
