So this motor f 90 damper down on hp cause I know vehicles with same size engine blocks 1.5 liters 3 cylinder engines pushing out 180 hp or little more than 200 hp I thought a 70 to 100 hp outboard motors would be alot smaller than 1.5 liter and Lil more lighter weight

Outboards are going to run 4500-5500 rpm for hundreds of hours. Imagine if a small 1.2L motor where to do that. It would wear itself out. There is a break point between displacement, power output vs durability and cost. To big to heavy long lasting bad for business. To small to light lots of warranty issues bad for business
