La vecchia serie Concorde (io possiedo la 30) aveva una piccola vite nella parte superiore che permetteva di regolare - con l'apposito cacciavite fornito in dotazione - la distanza tra la puntina ed il collarino dell'innesto che, ad esempio, nel Technics 1200 mkII è di 52 mm (tra la puntina e l'esterno del collarino): il fatto che questa regolazione sulle Concorde Music non sia più possibile mi sembra un fatto abbastanza grave.

im using the club mk2 for normal mix and back cue .the special elliptical version. thought of changing to the cheaper mix version .im quite worried of record wear due to elliptical as what others say when back cue ,corrrect me if im wrong . any tips ?

It isn't true that an elliptical stylus will wear out your records faster than a spherical stylus. Each type has more contact with different parts of the record groove. A spherical stylus is like a ball wedged against the sides of a canyon. An elliptical is also wedged against the sides of a canyon, but it is longer vertically and sits deeper in the groove. It puts less pressure on single points of the sides of the groove and it sits deeper. One doesn't really wear the record out more than the other, they each just wear out different parts of the groove. You could make the argument that because an elliptical sits deeper, it will wear the groove more evenly vs wearing out smaller contact points towards the top of the groove like a spherical.

So I have the Club Mkii's, they have a "special" elliptical stylus. I wonder if this would be worth it to upgrade, audio quality wise? I briefly had the chance to play with the Century a few years back, that was in another leauge for sure, but of course priced that way as well.

@@njdewit probably for high end hi fi but I bet they sound great on standard DJ setup vinyl compared to the club. Will await a review from djcity etc

500€ for a dj cartridge with the exact same stylus as the 2m blue which worth 200€??? Are you serious guys???

@Dale Cooper They actualy did out the 2M Blue guts into the Concorde body, that was Concorde 40 Anniversary cartridge. However, the subject does not seem to be the same: this is much less compliant and requires much more tracking force in comparison with 2MB.
