This g3xl is a very shootable gun that maximizes power and velocity from your rounds with the longer barrel while still maintaining high levels of concealment and also not sacrificing accuracy since they have a longer sight radius as well!!! Big win!!!
I currently own 4 Taurus pistols the PT738, G2C, G3 and TX22. They are all great firearms that are accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them. I am interested in getting GX4 and possibly some of the other PT models.
I have both the G3c and the G3XL. I love the safety on the G3c and since the G3XL doesn't come with a safety, I swap the G3c lower with the G3XL upper and they fit and work just fine.
The reason they came out with the one No Safety version of because of some folks didn't like the safety, I didn't mind one way or another, it doesn't bother me!!
I put glock meprolight true dots on my g3xl that I had and never installed on a glock 20, and they work perfectly!!! I'm printing 1.5 inches high at 7 yards, and I'm perfectly ok with that!!!
I love my G3C, but the G3, G3C, X, and XL only differ by tiny fractions in size and weight. And capacity, of course...which can equal out simply by swapping magazines. I probably should've just gone with the G3 and called it a day.
They are doing a great job!! Make sure, if you get the full size G3, get the new version with the Glock Front and Rear Sight, I know there's some stock out there with the older G2 Rear Sights on it. It's not that those are bad, but there is less selection of Rear Sights for it!!
GSR is a cool cat. Good little review. I'm picking up twins of this model in 2 more days. I'm giving my twin CZ 75's up to my older brother as a gift because of all his droooling over them but shot this 3gxl a week or two back and thought, what the hell. Later, Sir. Thanks for you good video. You havin' wayyyyy too much fun, but that's just fine with me.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments, it helps us get better!! I'm looking for a surplus CZ75 that's been well worn to customize it at the CZ Custom Shop, that happens to be local to me!!
I don't see any companies making any new models in .40. The ONLY reason .40 didn't die in 2020 was the post election panic and the Beer Bug!! That gave .40 a couple more years of life!!
Yamil, thank you for making those suggestions at the end of the video. Although I have pistols without manual safeties, I like to have a choice. It sucked that so many people who don't like manual safeties couldn't get that option with the G2 series and early G3 series and it sucks now that the newer products don't give us the option. Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Sig Sauer and others offer the end user those choices. Oh and they really need to do the same thing with the optics ready slides. As usual, you're on top of it! 👊🏿
Well, you don't know that they won't offer the option later on!! When the G3 came out, there was only one option, then the G3c came out, then the TORO, then the G3X and the G3c without a Manual Safety, now the G3XL, there is lots you can do with these. I think if we leave comments, CONSTRUCTIVE comments like yours, Taurus WILL listen to us!!
Thanks Yamil. I like the longer bbl. What length? Certainly appreciate Taurus commitment to customer satisfaction. Ruger better look out; happy customers, good to better quality and lower prices will win the race.
@@johnkellmer5133 No worries. I didn't mention the barrel length, jus that it was a "Modified G3 Slide" which didn't give all the information. Someone that doesn't own or has handled a G3 might have questions, thanks for bringing it up!!
@@yrsued I grew up here. My family was in the military so as baby moved around a lot. Hoping to go this summer. Thanks for the videos. Glad to see more Latinos getting into the shooting sports and CCW!
I was looking into purchasing a Springfield hellcat but this gun is catching my attention so much, it fits the majority of my needs and want from a pistol. Great review
I’ve got one issue. The hole in the dust cover that is claimed to be there so you can remove/install the front sight. But, first you have to take the slide off the lower grip module, take the guide rod and barrel out to get to the screw that holds the front sight on. So don’t really don’t understand why people keep saying the holes there to help remove/install front sight. You can actually see the guide rod through the hole. Hint no front sight tool can get to the front sight screw.
Make you a deal, if you can take the front sight off and install a new sight on, without the hole, in under 5 minutes, I give you a new G3!!! There is a very good reason that hole is there, just like a Glock 34/35, in order to put the tool in there!! And you always have to remove the barrel and guide rod to do this, no matter the gun!! Oh, I happen to have that tool right here in my pocket now!! Want to bet a gun that I can do that?? Put your money where your incorrect statements are!! BTW, the Tool is made by Tru Glo and it's a whopping $10 www.amazon.com/Truglo-Installation-Removal-Pistol-Sights/dp/B00K89LJ94/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2WEJICW98MGRX&keywords=truglo+tool&qid=1649383087&sprefix=truglo+tool%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-1
The G3XL is a G3C frame with a G3 slide that is real obvious. I own both G3C & G3 and tested out my theory and I was able to create my own G3XL in 45seconds. I love Taurus no matter what tho just don’t waste y’all money on the new models G3X & G3XL 👎🏾👎🏾🤦🏾
This is America after all, you don't need to buy something you don't want to buy. Nobody should force you to buy something you don't want to. You already have the component anyway.
