The School of Mining and Mineral resources is the latest extension of the University of Arizona’s rich history of successful transdisciplinary programs and top-tier mining education, which stretches back to 1884. UArizona has been a global leader in mining education since it was founded, with a nationally ranked mining engineering program and a complete ecosystem of mining disciplines, including programs in geosciences, economic geology, hydrology, business, social sciences, and more.
Our transdisciplinary minor in Sustainable Mineral Resources is a minor for any major. With mineral resources being a critical factor in the conversion to clean energy systems, mining is a career field that has in-demand, high-paying jobs and long-term stability.
