SM’s been using actual storylines since the beginning. Every group has their concept and universe and there’s always been hints of it being intertwined. Most people think this started with Aespa, but it’s not the case. There’s a short 2 min video on what the storylines are for all the groups, the 2nd gen included and it’s been years in the planning before any of the groups debuted. ☺️

Sm start this from exo as i remember. If you watch exo debut which is mama you'll know it's not new. Bts in other hand start it late bc i was there for their debut but at the time it's more abt teen rebel song to society.

@@Aya-te6cv Oh really. I don't listen to Exo so I wasn't sure about it. I never saw their debut so I didn't know about the storylines or anything. Thank you for clarifying. I was there before and after BTS debuted, so I knew about their concept for the debut. I don't consider what BTS did as a concept because it was more about themselves and the society they live in. I'm glad I saw their debut because I resonated with it more than any of the other groups from SM, YG and JYP. BTS words spoke to me more than the other group's music I've listened to like Girl's Generation or Shinee. I know how hard all the artists work so I never want to discredit them and the work they've all done. Edit: I was just checking my grammar and spelling, sometimes I misspell a word or miss something :)
