Buddhism is not a religion. It's a philosophy. You are not forced to go to temple and also you are not asked to believe what buddha said blindly. You are supposed to critically think about it and understand it. What buddha said 2600 years ago are now proven to be correct by scientists.
As an example suffering is a natural thing in the world. Removal of suffering is buddism. To remove the sufferings in side you. First you should understand that there is a suffering in side you.. then you can remove it. The pathway to understand and remove the suffering is buddism. Ok...? So buddism is only a phylosophy/teaching system/education system in the nature existed.
