I had a semester of Film History class in Germany a while ago but unfortunately wasnt able to attend it for any longer than that. Das Kabinett des Doktor Caligari was one of my favorite films we watched :) Thanks for making me feel like I can keep going to my lectures.
@@filmandmediastudieschannel eh, I live there so it’s just like any old education 😄 but it’s nice to not need to rely on a translation that might be inaccurate! Always a bummer when watching foreign language movies, not knowing if you’re getting the translator’s interpretation over the film makers’ intent.
Thank you so much for this video it has helped so much with the manga one shot I'm currently working I am grateful beyond belief thank you so so so much
I watched Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari today just out of curiosity and I enjoyed it. But learning about how deliberate the set design was just blew my mind, particularly the scene with Cesare and Jane. I'll be sure to check out more of your videos!
Excellent work! I really learned several stuff I didn't know. I am having a video channel about the History of Cinema, where I focus more on movies from different periods and movements and I speak also about German Expressionism, focusing more on the history of that period and the most important movies. I would be really interested to read your opinion about my work!
Thanks! I checked out some of the German Expressionism video and El Greco video. I think you're making great stuff - really well presented, well edited, and tons of great images. Keep it up!
@@filmandmediastudieschannel it means so much to me that a creator like you, with such an excellent work, checked and liked the work I do! It really gives me the motivation to continue (because it is really hard for small channels to find their audience and RU-vid algorithm isn't helping)!
