Water is the most abundant elements, covering about three-fourths of the earth surface. It plays a significant role on existence of life. Moreover, Water is the medium through which the atmosphere has most influence on human wellbeing, and terrestrial surfaces have significant on the atmosphere.
In attempts to understand and control the water, hydrologists and meteorologists need to work together, building up the field of science called hydrometeorology. In this chapter, what is hydrometeorology and its scope and application in engineering and agriculture. Also, we will discuss the different processes of hydrologic cycle and the water budget balance.
