In this lecture we'll take a brief look at the oscilloscope, a device that not only measures the voltage waveform under inspection but also displays a plot of it on a screen. We'll orient ourselves to the device and learn how to properly vertically and horizontally scale, position, trigger, couple, and attenuate a voltage signal for display and measurement purposes.
