A great conversation. I respect Mr. Aitkins’ idea of how young men develop maturity: by accepting responsibility for their children. He left out one thing: faithfulness to the mother of those children. From his statements, it sounds as if he himself benefitted from a stable, faithful father. I hope he will widen his criteria in the future.

Perhaps Robin has some insight into how the BBC became a beacon for cultural Marxism, or alternatively is our current predicament the natural progression of Liberalism?

He has a documentary on the BBC filmed with The New Culture Forum. Can be found on RU-vid.

Social media has become the town square where people shout their opinions and virtual rotton tomatoes. We have also been spoon fed cheap soap operas for 50 years that focus on the worst of human nature, greed, pride, envy and lust. Actors constantly shouting at each other to create drama, which is passively beamed into homes. We as individuals have to be conscious of what we read, observe and obsorb, which also includes the mainstream news media. The majority of people are good hearted, even those who don't have the most stable of backgrounds. 22,000 police officers, policing a population of 66 million isn't too bad.

Dear Robin, I am finding the sound on your channel somewhat muffled. It is even worst in the Hitchens presentation, partly because Hitchens habitually mumbles the ends of many sentences. I have to turn the sound right up and my wife justifiably complains. This is disappointing since I think I could learn from these talks. Probably not much you can do at this point, but I'm speaking up on behalf of future productions. Hope this, though no doubt irritating, is helpful in the longer run. Best wishes, David Stollar

I agree with the Hitchens’ interview. I think he “swallows” the end of sentences. This one seems a little better.
