Introduction to Soil part 1 

Just found these videos!! Love them! Great job. I am an Agriscience teacher and this is exactly what I teach to my Ag I classes! Now I feel the need to learn to draw 😉

I dropped out of college, but I'm hoping to educate myself in soil science and horticulture.

I'm taking a class Intro to soils at a community college and it's cool to see a video talking about what I just went over in class.

Love this video! This makes great use effective hand-drawn animation with cartoons and has great content. The script is excellent because it's breezy, fast-moving and packed with good information. The voice over is superior with good tone and modulation and sound quality. In the early part I particularly like the discussion of the various perspectives on soils and its focusing in on the concept of transitions which are importance in all the aspects of science and indeed life. Also, great emphasis and discussion of components and processes of how weathering leads to soil development.

2:38: 'The amazing thing about soil is that it's at an interface zone.' This is actually a very interesting observation. I hadn't really thought about it that way before. I've been reading a bunch of permaculture stuff, and they talk about how useful boundaries can be - but soil itself is all one big boundary, isn't it? A new way of looking at things. XD

I thought the most important thing that makes soil soil is its organic principal. Weatherd rock is sand. Dirt without organics is sand. Sand with organic is dirt. The organics is the most important part and you bearly mentioned it. Life makes soil. In return soil gives life. Most important lesson on the planet pretty much

i like the way of introducing Soil but still I was missing something. i will give my introduction to I'm Permaculture practitioner, why don't you integrate your videos with permaculture Principles and Ethics. And Make more videos to get the people on board.. otherwise both the videos i loved them.. :)
