given it to my grand daughter who is 10 year old. With the app and software this is a mini studio for her. She loves it. Easy to understand and lots of support on YT.
My CASIO CT-S300 arrived last week. Very well designed panel layout on a solid quality build. The matte keybed is better than many expensive synthesizers and the pitch bend wheel and speakers are small and sturdy. The comp sheet music rest is a nice addition. 400 tones plus 77 rhythms and the Dance Music mode that allows you to build EDM tracks provides a lot of sound and the Function button opens up an impressive amount of additional sound shaping, including multiple reverb types and programmable pitch bend range. This instrument is loaded and to me worth way more than the market price.
Update - Using this keyboard since past 2 weeks. It is perfect for the beginners and it has a soft touch response which is good. Overall, i am happy with this purchase and would recommend everyone to buy this who has a tight budget but looking for a touch response keyboard.
@@Aksshay hey is the touch sensitivity really good? Does it really make the difference when you play it compared to a non touch sensitive keyboard? Please?
@@Mika-jx1wt yes, the touch response is actually good. I thought it would not be much better as the price is low for this keyboard. But it is quite good. Two types of touch responses are there Light and nornal. So normal is very good and you'll love it.
Relearning piano on one of these. Good little piano. Sometimes I like to change the sound to the church organ, harpsichord, glockenspiel, tubular bells or harp mode just to switch things up.
I had bought it. It is a fantastic keyboard for beginners. The quality of keys is far better than others and also the tones, rhythms and songs are nice. But, How can we record and loop our recordings in it ?
I know this is an old comment, but I'm answering in case it's helpful to anyone else. This keyboard is velocity sensitive, meaning it's louder or quieter depending on how suddenly you hit the keys. A pro would probably need something more sensitive, but I've been able to get an adequate variety of volumes out of it. Good for starting out, practicing and playing informally.
I bought this keyboard as I want to learn basic piano/keyboard skills. My main concernce was to get good playable keys and they are really very much better than I was expecting. Be aware though if you are purchasing this keyboard in the UK it will not come with a power supply.
Hi Martin, it sure would be nice if Casio put out a gig bag for the Casiotone models. The gig bags they do sell are either too long and wide for the nice slimline of a Casiotone.
If you know how to do a bit of soldering, and some math you could in theory hook up 'any' rechargeable batteries to the battery slots like a lifehack, for portability without dealing with low lifespan charge.
I think the problem with this keyboard is the tone memory. Of you use the tone number 5 and next tone number 45 You need you turn the wheel to go into that number. Not good for the stage performance
Just bought it and it's so easy to play on my lap. I don't have to get up on a hard stool. I'm not sure what cords he is saying to buy to use the ipad for chordana?
I guess it is impossible to save a midi file created inside CT-S300 to a Pendrive - if you memorize recording inside the Casio CT-S300 - I wonder how you can take it out from the Casio. is it possible only by the connection with a USB cable to a computer? and if you have memorized your midi file inside CasioCT-S300 can you expert in a USB Pendrive or computer or do you have to audio record directly to the computer by a USB cable - those are things we need to know because it is very useful also for professional musicians but those things I need to know there are not explained
I bought a Casio CTS 300 to learn keyboard. But there is no chord button. Also when I am playing left hand chord (CEG) some music is starting to play. The manual is also inconclusive about playing normal left hand chord. The Rythm, Pattern, ACMP options are of no help. The beats keep starting to play the moment I press left hand C-E-G. How to play normal left hand chord without triggering other beats or sounds? This is so frustrating. Please help.
Is there an app that controls CTS (Casiotone) keyboards? Just like the app "Chordana Play"->"Piano Remote Controller" for other keyboards? How to quickly toggle through sounds bank without keypad? e.g. If I want to jump from tune no. 300 to 400 and change rhythm from 20-60. How Casio brands this as a smart keyboard without app control?
Hello. I am a beginner and just bought an LK-S250. I am however a little mystified as to the labeling of these. Is a S300 newer, more modern than an LK- S250. Or, are they just arbitrary designations? Thanks!
Yes. He says so on minute 0:17. Also, the keyboard has some basic useful features like the metronome for your lessons, plug for sustain pedal for when you start learning to use it and five octaves for you to have a good amount of notes to play.
CTS300... otra cosa sería si lo compararas con el CTX700, que seguramente es mejor en todo salvo portabilidad y teclas

Using it for several days. Though it's a good instrument for the price, the poor preset saving is disappointing. 1 preset is rather annoying than useful. Like, You would make model 301 with 5 presets, 302 with 10, adding 5$ to each. Please, Casio - if you add a feature, make sure that it is not disrespectful. Micro USB? - Are you serious? I want to look in the eyes of the product owner.
Hi! I just got the 300 and have been trying to set it up with my computer, but when I plug it in, nothing happens. I've checked the local control, checked that my USB cable does work on another device, and that my USB port also works. But when I plug everything in, my PC doesn't recognize the keyboard anywhere. Has anyone else run into this issue?
It is so annoying to see a music rest this good on a keyboard at this price. My piano which has a retail price of over $3000 has a music rest about half this size and is specially designed so that all sheet music develops a mid page backwards bend.
Did Casio add any android blocking software? My cts-300 connects for 5 seconds to android phone then disconnectes. However, it connects to (Windows-Dell) laptop correctly. I tried 3 different android phones with 3 different cables. I have tested cables and ports separately. It seems to be casiotone cts-300 software fault.
I just got my S200 today, it does have speaker issues. 1) When you play it via local speakers it doesn't show much, the sound is just 'lower quality' on average. 2) Plugging in a headphone and setting 'volume' high enough to hear via headphones and you will notice the problem, massive distortion when you hit lower note keys that has to do with 'vibrations' frequencies. 3) Plugging in the USB to use as midi, when you use the keyboard as a 'playback' it fails to properly play most sounds from the PC and if you mess with the tones on the piano while it's playing back, you end up with 'broken' distortions looping if you play certain ones, which can make the speaker extremely loud at low volumes. I think there is a 'board' issue with how the controller is designed or utilized, since I am using much 'newer' software than the keyboard can handle digitally.
It works fine as a 'controller' for PC Midi playback for the most part so long as you use your headphones elsewhere, not on the keyboard, to rely on the keyboard's speaker/audio out playback is a fatal flaw if not for the basic piano tones.
@@dra6o0n I don't use midi and all those stuff. I'm into classical piano so it's work fine for me since I only use it as a piano and only use the keyboard speakers. 😀
Casio cts 100,200,300 is just throwing money away. These are keyboards to take pictures with and put on instagram😉. It is better to add some money and buy Casio cts1,400 or Ctx 700, which have a decent sound with AIX sound, is much better than AHL sound.
