The slightly greyed out color indicates that the icon or the element it is related to is visually hidden in the page, so the icon cannot be displayed. If you select the No Styles option in the WAVE sidebar, the icon will become visible in the unstyled page.
@@WebAccessibilityInMind Thank you. I wonder if you could tell me - The "shaded out" error in my Wordpress Theme (Extra) is not something I can edit. If it's something that is hidden, could it still be flagged as an ADA compliance issue by the OCR?
If the page styles are very static with absolute positioning that interferes with or is overlapped by the WAVE sidebar, you can disable the Styles option in the sidebar to remove the page styles and view all underlying content and WAVE information.
We'd be happy to hear more about what you're experiencing. WAVE should not have any impact on your computer experience and is easily removed in your browser's extension settings.
