That's nuts. I just thought learning how to use this and kali Linux. I said after I finish my A+ core 2 I wanna focus on active directory and wireshark
I've been in the IT field for over 20 years at the enterprise level. I attended a Wireshark University 2 week course taught by the founder, Laura Chappell. I can tell you for fact that having even a moderate understanding of how to effectively use wireshark will give you a huge advantage over a large majority of your counterparts and peers. To this day, its STUNNING how few "engineers" are willing to utilize packet captures even when troubleshooting things like network congestion, something that would seem obvious to use. Having the ability to read a .pcap can make complex problems as simple as reading what the capture is telling you, saving you untold amounts of time and frustrations. It just seems like not too many are willing to take the time to learn, most likely due to intimidation. But after having attended that 2 week course, EVERY workstation in my workcenter had wireshark on their desktop looking at pcaps.
