If you are considering visiting the Smith home in Pa, DO NOT look for Harmony. If you do you will end up near Pittsburg. Look instead for Susquehanna depot Pa. Oakland township. There is also a Susquehanna city that is NOT where you want to go. There is a wonderful visitors center, the Hale home (reconstructed), Smith home (reconstructed) and the burial site of the Smith baby.
Thanks so much for all your insights. It is always wonderful to start reading the Book of Mormon again, each time we learn more, it is an endless source of Knowledge and inspiration. Greetings from Santiago, CHILE.
THIS IS FANTASTIC. Two enthusiasts! I love the pictures too. Thank you. MERRY Christmas and a Happy NEW YEAR . I LOVE the Lord, our prophets and scriptures
This was absolutely amazing, these two people have a natural love for the scriptures and the Lord that just radiates as they converse about both of them. I really look forward to watching both of them this year. There was also a ton of information that illuminates these topics. I am hooked on listening to them!
My goodness! How wonderful! I love the insight between the two of you. And I’m thrilled that we have the Joseph Smith papers now with more insight than we have ever had in the past. How wonderful!
I notice that happens in other videos/podcasts as well. Sometimes the host gets so excited they talk over the guest at times. Sister Hilton is passionate and excited to talk about the Book of Mormon. Which is awesome.
Really thoughtful and well done. You are both terrific. One constructive suggestion, Lynne, please let John finish his comment without talking over him.
I am excited for this year to be the study of The Book Of Mormon. I need to read this book more frequently. It is a life changing text. God Bless us in our need.
@@tinacarvalhoBodyandHealth for sure. I just noticed I had a spelling mistake in MY original post so when you said you had the same thought I was poking fun at myself for my own mistake. Your words were perfect. Hope you have a nice weekend and a Merry Christmas ❤️
Thank you! I love the way you go back and forth sharing your insights, knowledge, witness, and enthusiasm! Brother Welch's legal and literary expertise gives so much depth of understanding. Again, Thank you!
This was so inspiring for me. Yet, I have so many questions. Among other historical facts, it’s been shocking for me to learn about Joseph’s many other wives and left me not knowing how to feel about so many things I was taught growing up. They don’t make sense. I would so much appreciate help in gaining greater understanding.
At marker 24:57 in this video where Mosiah 28:9 is being referenced about an account of the Jaredites to be given, I believe Mosiah 28:19 is the reference to use. Hope this helps others. These videos are helpful and insightful. We will continue to watch and learn. Thank you!
Thank you for the glorious eye opening teachings that help us move to a new level of study of the Book of Mormon! I appreciate all the work and energy that you all put into these lessons so we can progress too!
Wow! Everything was so amazing! I wish my mind could hold everything I have learned. I am with Mary Whitmer... if you can skip rocks you can chop some wood. Sometimes the people who prop up our bishops, stake presidents, general authorities have more work and even more responsibilities, so that the work can go on. it is alright to take a break or get visited by an angel to get yourself renewed. Giggle! Go Mary!
Jack & Lynne: what an incredible combination If you want to know ever more about how the Book of Mormon is translated, ancient record Lynne and Jack wil fill your mind and our heart.
Thank you. This is a great presentation! I have always enjoyed your videos but Brother Welch and your visuals adds more. Is he going to be joining you each week?
Thank you for mentioning the book, "Opening The Heavens". I just bought it and I'm impressed with its contents and all the work done. I'm already enthralled reading it.
Very true. But the Lord has also provided evidences that support the reality of the book. I so very much admire the early saints who withstood the persecution and violence based on their spiritual testimony, as you say, with none of the scholarly support that we have today. I love the evidences but not because they teach me that it is true, but more in the vein of “See, I told you so”. Perhaps more importantly, the evidences can bolster the faith of those who believe but still are weak or uncertain. With time, the sure and certain conviction and conversion can come.
lynne here: you're of course absolutely right. the only real testimony comes from the spirit and the process outlined in Moroni. It is wonderful that God has given us such a gift as the Book of Mormon. There's nothing like it. It will bear up in matters of spirit, heart and mind! The ultimate evidence!
I think you are ignoring s lot of historical facts here..he sat at home for years telling stories about these people before he translated the book according to his mother..isnt that interesting ??
PS: There is no such language as "reformed Egyptian". It's all a big lie. I'm so sorry, but that is the truth. Because of this, Christopher Nemelka is trying his best to start his own version of the "Sealed Portion" because they are all great and talented works of fiction. A marvellous work and a wonder indeed! Writing scripture for itching ears '
bible says plainly, do NOT add to or take away, one jot or title, how in Gods name are you going to berlieve a man looked in his hat and come up with allthis?,,i pray, that God, opens your eyes and throw this false phrophecy out, and cleave ONLY to gods word
Lynne was so disruptive with her interjections. Please just let John share and finish his thoughts. Her voice was distracting and alienating enough I wouldn't listen to an episode with her again.
