INTRUDER by LongestSoloEver An original song based on the Mandela Catalogue series by Alex Kister - / mandelacatalogue Song and video written and produced by LongestSoloEver
It's one of the few times where someone can say "I'm going to save you" and the very first thing that comes to mind in response is "Save me from what?" You'd Assume the Alternates; but with the focus on lies and deceit, we can't assume that that is who he's saving you from... or if he's even attempting to save you at all and isn't just stalling you until you run out of hope like the police are.
@@twobladedswordsandmauls2120 i tend to belive wendigoons theory on the series so my best guess is Screen dude is the antichrist converting and replacing people with demons dopplegangers. hence why it uses terms like "saving you" despite obviously being involved with if not leading the intruders attacking people.
it just gives me chills because of how it was placed near the end of the song. The song really pointed about intruders and ghosts, but as the line came up, it really gives you a sense of hope, but also a sense of fear cuz we don't know if he is lying or telling the truth.
@@SlavicSci Huh. Looks scary, acts scary - Actually saves you from a terrible fate, and creates a generation of people who can pick up where he left off to rebuild what was lost. Edit: Secondary anecdote: Makes me imagine maybe he was a malfunctioning alternate. Or a survivor of an alternate, he knows what's on the other side, he knows what happens to those who disappear. And has taken his survival as a vow to never allow it to happen to another person.
Guys, I think he's inside his home. Jokes aside, this is genuinely amazing, from the song to the vfx, everything. Fantastic job man, keep being awesome.
The beat is kicking, the lyrics are great, the vocals slap, a very pleasant surprise from LSE. Hopefully we get some more original songs of the nerdcore variety. Long live the Longest Originals Ever!
Lyrical References [HEAVY SPOILERS for Mandela Catalog (MC)] [In order of line appearance]: "sound coming from your phone" - It's been implied multiple times that these Alternates commune with their victims on "another spectrum" (MC: Exhibition iirc). This is also referenced in other lyrics, including "i'm the terror on your screen.", "to the man on your tv", "finding me here on your screen now", etc. "you know they'll never find you" - In the encounters we have seen in volumes 1 and 2, especially Adams encounter, it's been said that they will never be found either in the same words or in some alteration. "don't make me wake the others" - this is directly said in Mandela Catalog Volume 2 in the scene of a presumed intruder communicating to Adam. "i'm repeating your screams" - in MC: Vol 2, the phrase "OH MY GOD BEHIND YOU" is repeated by one of the two victims as a glitch in the walkies created by the presence of an alternate. "you followed the shepherd" and "it's time to wake up" - these two go hand in hand, as the "shepherd" is in reference to the ones in MC: Overthrone, in which the shepherds followed satan disguised as gabriel, and "wake up" refering to satan disguised telling joseph to wake up, one of the iconic lines in MC. "i am inside your home" - a typical thing that comes from the perspective of a common intruder. most negative events happen within the victims own home (e.x. mark's encounter at age 4, mark's final encounter, the distraught mother's encounter, etc.) "their faces aren't quite right" - a shown biological identification of alternates in MC: Think Principle. this is also shown as an intended glitch in Dean's video. "intruders in the night" - another reference to the intruder side of MC, as shown in Dean's video, this is more referencing the intruder that mark encountered at the age of 4 in MC: Vol. 1 "they'll speak the words on sight" - as also shown in Dean's video, this is a reference to M.A.D. or Metaphysical Awareness Disorder. "you'll join the others" - an implication that the modified brodcasts that the alternates put out turn the victims into alternates. or a possible implication that an alternate will take place of the victim in the song. "to the face you've always seen" - this is conflicting. the image shows age 4 mark's drawing of the intruder, but this could also be referencing the victim's face, as alternates commonly copy the appearance of their victim. "the door has been opened" - possibly referencing the locked door in MC: Vol. 2, in which an encounter lies behind. "the static is calling" - the static on the device that the alternate, more specifically "Dean", is communicating through. "you've made a bad decision" - directly said when Mark tried to hinder/eliminate the alternate in his final encounter. this is basically a confirmed reference due to the font change in the subtitles. "nothing is worth the risk" - this is repeated many times throughout the series, making the first appearance after mark and ceaser's conversation iirc "i'm coming to save you" - an obvious lie, as it is said by alternates in some of MC's many main encounters that no one saves the victims. AUDIO REFERENCES: - Mainly in the instrumental parts of the song, the Emergency Brodcast audio can be heard on beat with the song, echoing on beat. - The scream heard in some parts of the song could possibly be of the "concerned friend" in MC: Vol. 1, which is in the final time that we see any footage of Mark and Caeser's conversation in Vol. 1. VISUAL REFERENCES: Various VHS overlay - A VHS recording timer, along with static, glitches, and the VHS font, can be seen throughout the entire video, exactly like Vol 1. of MC, minus the timer. Intruder/Alternate face - At the very start of the dean's video, dean can be seen doing a replication of the face that is seen multiple times in MC, the first notable one being in the TV owned by the distraught mother. Images in Dean's video - The images in the video are listed in order of appearance as ["Keep an eye on your children" from the distraight mother sequence, The crying coming from the missing infants room, ERROR screen from Vol. 1, One of the many humans seen in Dep. of Temporal Phenominon brodcasts, Satan in disguise, The warning that unauthorized individuals shouldn't view the brodcast, The intruder mark saw at age 4, One of the various ominous doorways, One of the brodcasted examples of M.A.D., Young Mark's drawing of his intruder encounter, The presumed figure of the real gabriel or jesus saying "please help me" to a presumed god in MC: Overthrone, The "do you understand?" screen from Vol. 2, Ditto but on top of Dean's face] Alternate Dean's (Alt-dean-ates) - Many malformation's of LSE (or Dean as meantioned in various videos on his other channel) can be seen in many parts of the video, most of these are references to faces and figures representing alternates with the same malformations, such as upside down (he does a great handstand tho), the one creepy face from Vol. 2, the faceless, etc. - (edit) 1:09 : The officially named alternate "N" can be seen, as you can tell from N's unique eyes. Mysterious figure - Before the start of the bridge, a figure that doesn't look like an alteration of dean can be seen. As meantioned by another comment, it could be his wife.
I always took the line of "you'll join the others, thousands more, they'll never find you." to mean that he will join all the other victims that number in thousands and many of which are never found (For example; vol 2 victims 3 and 4 have not been found). Just my opinion on it.
Something I like is the fact that, with the Alternates you shown, there are 2 that reference the stick figures used to explain how some Alternates have impossible physiology, mainly being upside down (which appeared twice) and with a very big head (once) while having a few that have no face, just in the shadows, etc. I would have personally had the upside down ones handstand rather than stand like an upside down stick figure so it makes sense that they can move
The unnamed alternate at the end of Volume 3 just kind of slides towards Thatcher, so it would make sense that alternates would be able to do the same when upside down.
Here before Alex Kister notices this >:) Anyway, like wow, this is really outstanding, everything, music, visuals, the lyrics.. Keep up the awesome work LSE!!
yea, "Don't make me wake the others" no wake them up please also, "They don't know what you've seen" thats sad BRUH, "THEY'LL NEVER FIND YOU!" THATS RLLY SAD
I think this is the absolute perfect song for the Mandela Catalogue. Its full of references, its got amazing visuals that fit perfectly with the series, it uses the EAS siren as a beat, which is just awesome, and everything just comes together. I can't stress enough how much I love this.
3:05 The scream is perfectly timed and just fits so well here, as it would be anyone's reaction when jumping through a window. This song is pure sigma.
Lyrics: Im the fear of the unknown The face in monochrome Sound coming from your phone. (Do you hear it?) Im the terror on your screen They don't know what you've seen And once you've learned the truth you know they'll never find you So admit your FEARS to the man on your tv. Do they know you're here? Don't make me wake the others. Finding me here on your screen now, your caught inbetween, I'm repeating your screams, there's nowhere to hide. Sleeping but don't you remember? You followed the Shepard. Its time to wake up. (I am inside your home) [Chill music break] Here, their faces aren't quite right. Intruders in the night. They'll speak the words on sight (DO YOU HEAR IT?) Now don't even try to scream. The ghost in the machine You'll join the others. Thousands more Theyll never find you. So confess your FEARS To the face you've always seen Do they know your here? DONT MAKE ME WAKE THE OTHERS Finding me here on your screen now, your caught inbetween, I'm repeating your screams, there's nowhere to hide. Sleeping but don't you remember? You followed the Shepard. Its time to wake up. (I am inside your home) The door has been opened The static is calling Been waiting for you here, forever and always So admit your fears Do they know your here? You've made a bad decision. NOTHING IS WORTH THE RISK Finding me here on your screen now, your caught inbetween im repeating your screams There's nowhere to hide. Sleeping but don't you remember? You followed the Shepard. Its time to wake up (I am inside your home) Seeing you face on another, you're running for cover Its here at your door and time is running out Turn on the screen and OBEY ME. Im coming to save you. Its time to wake up (I am inside your home) [Short music break, and ending]
“I’m the fear of the unknown, The face in monochrome, Sound coming from your phone, Do you hear it?” Such banger opening lyrics! Especially “the face in monochrome” I’m literally making a character around those lyrics…you sir is a lyrical genius.
A small thing, but I love how in 1:26 he looks off to the side of the screen in a surprised expression to get you to look at it And just how he seems to constantly be looking from side to side, as if he's smiling at the other Alternates
This is not only a great Mandela Catalogue song, it's one of the best tracks in musical history! My brain is addicted to this track, especially to that banger of a chorus, and I can't get enough. You did a great job, and I wish you more attention. Thank you!
Everything from the lyrics, the vocals, the beat and my lord, the VISUALS are breathtaking. Easily one of the most fantastic fan songs for anything I've ever seen
Here from overthrone - I have no idea how I missed this one, it's so good! Besides how good your work always is in general, you have a real talent for retelling a story via lyrics.
The way the voice changes according to the lyrics is absolutely brilliant... The camera looking around and instantly turning when they see something just adds to the panic. I love everything about this and I've been listening to it probably a hundred times over the past 3 days :D this guy is a genius, crazy talented.
the mandela catalogue by alex kister is an analogue horror series on yt, i would reccomend watching its genuinly terrifying and also will make the lyrics and themes of the song make more sense
@@yeoldenuggetmcree9463 yeah, I already did. The lyrics and the visuals are what got me into watching MC. Now I'm trying to get my friends into watching it XD Edit: in fact, I have actually heard about MC, I just forgot. I have also seen Intruder and Six before, so it made my experience weirder (like, "wait, they look kinda familiar")

This is what got me into mandela catalogue, and when I started watching it, i loved it. Edit: As a Christian, I find religious horror interesting just something about a fictional reality where the devil fooled the shepherds and took control of humanity really interests me.
this beat is masterful. The emergency tones, or whatever they're called, give the song so much more impact. I want to ask for an instrumental, but that would imply I'd have time to listen to it instead of having this on repeat all day.
It’s official. Guitar man is inside our homes. Jokes aside you’re a talented Song artist and love your music bro. Btw I found it hilarious you got your (GF/Wife I think) involved in one of the clips
I was low-key terrified by the visuals- Jesus you made this song great. The visuals are terrifying, but the vocals are STUPENDOUS! The Chorus was so great that I physically shuddered!
Usually the sound of the emergency broadcast system gives me terrible ptsd but for some reason I absolutely love the sound of it in this song, maybe it’ll get me over the terrible sound of it 😅
This original song is so amazing, it represents the Mandela Catalogue franchise so well you'd think it was an official song! I can't wait for more original songs(if there will be more haha) great job!
Man you have a really good talent u see your channel when you make your first covers and I wish you the million because profesional you are.And all your work is amazing. Thanks for a amazing music forever!!
Dude, this may be one of the most awesome songs ever I know you won't see this but if you do, you make some brilliant lyrics I always have a favourite lyric of a song but I cannot decide it is that good!
I enjoyed this song way to much and I haven't been able to stop smiling after hearing it. Thank you for this beautiful gift that you have graced us with.
the intruder/6 is my fave alternate so I am very happy that you used the intruder more than any alternate as inspiration for this mega slapper of a tune! subbed for more bangers cuz DAYUUMMMM!!!
bro 6 be spittin BARS This song be giving me M.A.D. to be honest, gonna have this on loop for the next few days. This was absolutely amazing!! The way you added the alternates in the background with physical references to the ones we've seen so far was really cool. Took me a while to go back and see everything you've put in on the sides of the screen. So glad to see more fan content of The Mandela Catalogue! :)
