This is a bit technical for my taste. I'm an ex Suzuki/ Kawasaki shop mechanic. I'll watch your video again. Thanks for showing. I might learn something too.

Thank you for your kind words. I intentionally tried to do something other than the tape measure and calculator video. Those videos are worth watching, too. Especially for your particular bike. I focused on "what", rather than "how". In the end, you have to get your bike to do "what" you want.

Most mechanics at dealers have way more experience, with way more bikes, than most riders. They have experienced the different types of adjustments and hopefully some training. They have ridden other peoples bikes and set ups. They've ridden and repaired bikes with worn out components and ridden them repaired. They've seen the smart alec know it all's who really know nothing.

Hello, I study mechanical engineering and I have trouble keeping up here because this video is all over the place. I like how information dense it is but the lack of structure really makes it hard to understand. If your target audiance are college students like me, keep up the fast pace but put more structure in it. you show random videos and change topic from springs to acceleration to dampeners every 40seconds. maybe start with basics of acceleration and what it means to change motion, then introduce dampeners and at the end show what springs do. If your target audiance are everyday people, you have to slow down AND have structure. Maybe even different videos like one for the spring and one for the dampener.

I admire the work you put into this but as some other guy has already mentioned this video lacks stuctural integrity. Even for me who is familiar with those concepts the video is pretty bizzare.

Its hard to call someone working on a motorcycle a mechanic but what ever. Still relevant information that isn't related to farm toys.

Your video is a bit confusing, and we now know you own an expensive bike with all the preload and rebound adjustment. Most bikes don't have front suspension preload and less have rebound adjustment. Most have rear suspension have preload but many less have rebound. You can use a ruler to adjust the rear suspension preload with the rider/passenger/luggage weight on an off the bike The front forks preload is adjusted by measuring the travel distance of the shocks using markers. The rebound is adjusted by observing the bike's recovery characteristics. Most mechanics at a dealers are not suspension adjustment experts. There are some excellant youtube videos how to set up you bikes suspension. .
