I have to say, out of all the arrangements on youtube for this piece, yours is my absolute favourite. I'm only 4 months in to my piano journey but I've put this song as a goal in 2 years to be able to play. Whenever I put this video on, it gives me the motivation to keep going :) Thank you Jeremy for this wonderful piece!
I also knew it by its other name, but once you started playing, it's like ooh it's that sad and beautiful song! I love the erhu version as well, it instantly reminded me of the erhu in House of Flying Daggers - Lovers (Flower Garden), it evokes the same heartbreaking emotions.
Jeremy, I don't know if you will see this message, but man, you really are something else. I have a hard time enjoying music I don't know and kinda not predict how it should sound, but after a while I get its point, and I'm sorry for not watching your every video. The point is that lately I found 5, 6 songs on other channels which I enjoyed, old anime songs, so I thought, until I found your versions which are like next lvl. If you are happy keep doing the way you do, but Imo you deserve more, and the way it is now, its about editing with syntesia. The way your piano sounds it's so good and the way you play. Im here after I discovered your saddness and sorrow version which I covered too.You have all my respect, that's all I had to say:*
Thanks. I know a lot of people are using that Synthesia thingy now, but I'm kinda lazy to learn how to edit with it to be honest. Maybe one day. I wonder why those type of videos seem so popular though.
@@jeremyngpiano I get you, honestly I'm no expert either, but it's maybe les than a week process to get the hang of it.Reason is that a non piano player can understand better what you are acctualy doing mechanicaly with your fingers and therefore have more impact to their understanding, and for piano players it's a way to learn if they can't read sheets. I will let you know if dare to play one of your arrangements.I did naruto but without syntesia. If I can ever help you,I'm here. Have a good day
synthesiagame.com/ - Is this the one that people use? So basically I just upload my midi files into this software? Thanks for covering my Naruto arrangement btw, just saw it!
@@jeremyngpiano Sorry for the late response, didnt get any notification.Yeah,30$ to buy it and import your midi in another version, its on the site on older versions, syntesia video creator. You can try capturing the screen while it plays also, but it will have low fps. After that its about syncing and editing in Premiere or AE.Also,do you still have the sheets for this, the link is not working anymore
Great job, Jer! Really enjoyed your arrangement. I like the unique derivation from 0:00 to 1:50 and I'm not sure what the technique is called but what you do from 3:14 to 3:40 is absolutely fantastic (where the melody note is accented and the accompanying lower right hand notes aren't). Looking forward to your next arrangement :)
Oh! This is actually the first song I learned, but of course it was an arrangement 10x easier. Congrats, I really like your arrangement and performance! And I also never watched Inuyasha, I just randonly found this song on youtube xD
This is amazing! I remember hearing this song from a student in my piano class about 7 years ago now. I still love this song! You are amazing! Is there anyway to purchase this sheet music?
Saddest song ever, but I really love it indeed! Sounds so nice and calming, although it really will sound even sadder if you know Inuyasha! I highly recommend watching it ;) But anyway, great performance, with so many variations!
Really love this arrangement!! The polyphonics in this is great!! Really refreshing arrangement :) Also pls do watch the anime if you have time. Watched it twice, from the first season to the last. Anw how did you find Distant Worlds? and will you be attending the Kingdom Hearts orchestra concert?
i was wonderling what you have been working on next. sound amazing! watched anime long time ago. any chance you play Gihibli song?. i love Reprize Futatabi from Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi.
I've decided to stop giving my sheets away for free, so I've taken them down from my website. My currently available sheet music can now be found at mnot.es/JeremyNg and this one should be there in a few months' time as well. I will provide the download link in the description when it's up.
Nope, I don't have perfect pitch. It's useful to have, but not necessary for arranging music. Music theory knowledge helps, and apart from that, a whole lot of hands-on experimental experience. Sometimes I still need to check up on the basic chords or bass line, other times I can figure that out just from listening to the music. That ability also comes from experience.
