Awesum Don, mid winter down here(New Zealand) so great to watch this home town USA race action and team work, and i agree, the American spirit is strong.
Thank you so much for the awesome video! Jared is a great racer and an even better person in general! We are very thankful for all the help from multiple teams that night to get that axel changed! Racing is more than just a hobby to us! It’s our way of life! This video is so cool because it just gives people a glimps of how a night of racing can go! Most of the time Jared has a much better finish (if not a win) but we are just thankful we didn’t have a DNF (did not finish) that night! Again thank you for the amazing video! You are always welcome at our trailer!!!
Yeah buddy! Teamwork will get it done. Always has to be one rapped too tight and yellin for wrenches. Ha, ha! With every video of yours, I get to relive some of my memories. For example, if you don't start the feature you won't even get tow money . Thanks for the memories and the track tour.
I always watch your videos I just don't comment much anymore. Years ago I was race day help for Bob Dotter in ARCA. I helped him from1987 until maybe 1993?? I was just wondering if you were in ARCA then? I would like to see you do a video about Bob he was such a fantastic man, he was always so appreciative of everyone that helped him race
And...Bob is a great story...won his championships with one arm. I was not at ARCA then; my tenure at ARCA was 1997 through 2018...but I remember Bob hanging around at the ARCA tracks before he passed. Thanks again, Richard. HMM
One of the guys helping change that front axel was Craig Rutan, you could easily make one of these videos on him and his history in racing and engine building
Years and years ago I was down to the old Southern Ohio Raceway. It was the end the Ohio speed weeks. Bobby Allen was hot lapping and blew a motor and didn't have a spare left. All he had was a bear block in the trailer. When every one else was out timing. He built a motor on the floor of his trailer. They let him start on the tail of the C-main, and he came from the tail and won it. Then he started on the tail of the B-main and won that. Then he started on the tail of the A-main and won that..........I was in the pits and seen that with my own eyes. Thanks for all your hard work HMM, Take care.
It was years and years ago during the Ohio sprit speed weeks I watched him win at atomic on a rainy and extremely muggy night and the heavy hitters came out to play the track was heavy as hell and his equipment was lacking compared to the heavy hitters but he stuck to the low side and beat them all first time I seen a whole grand stand jump up and down like that it couldn't have been a more popular win
@@HistoryMysteryMan if memory serves me right it was 83 or 84 rain showers kept interrupting the show and it was 3am when the checker flag finally waved and the whole crowd stayed for that impressive win not only was the world of outlaws in attendance but the local Ohio guys are a group of guys that can't be taken lightly the Jacob boys and Charlie fisher and Fred Linder and so on and so on there must have been 60 to 70 cars in the pits and believe it or not I still have the sprint speed weeks t-shirt from that event in the closet somewhere a little faded but still cool as all get out and one other thing I really enjoy your content real quality
As I watch more of your videos, I've noticed that you do some research before you approach the drivers in the pits. You've taken the time to determine how they've done in previous races, on what tracks they've raced, etc. etc. I would guess they are more open to spending time with you, knowing that you've taken the time to get to know more about them.
That's a great observation, and I appreciate you noticing. Sometimes, I also like to back off on the research so I can find out at the track...that we can find out together. But I do agree...research can be a show of respect. Thanks again, Ron...HMM
