i absolutely love this. the composition itself is much less conventional than a lot of the official versions. I like clashing chord arpeggios and the spooky dissonance. some people are gonna hate it for that creativity though... which kinda sucks
I don't hate the creativity, I dislike it because everything together sounds like a jumbled mess. Wayyy too much clash. Cool beats and character art tho.
@@lobones4373 "this game has instrumentation mapped to fit certain moods... therefore I will now complain that my very totally original music doesn't sound good when I fill up the whole board with random characters"
@@bradycalidonna5547 right but the point of the game is to mix together the sounds however you want, and in the normal game almost any combo sounds good together
This is all like a video game 1st line all together: You have been detected 2nd line all together: You have been killed 3rd line all together: Menu music/Respawn 4th line all together: Dialogue
I think the first line is more like your undetected but on the verge of being spotted. Second line is more or less when you DO get spotted. Third line is good we're it is. Forth line is more like if you passed the mission and you get out the place.
The first group sounds like a chase scene about to unfold. The second group gives me 80s final boss area vibes. The third group sounds discordant. The fourth group sounds discordant but if it was a second phase.
I love how effect 1 is the original incredibox design and that lets us know that maybe the original incredibox people were all badly hurt so they got surgery to look better and we have the design we have now and that one guy was not as hurt as the other people so he did not get the surgery but he did need to heal :) just a theory
Here's my theory about how "The Invasion" all adds up to V8 Dystopia: The guy with the cloak (Voice 2) is the same one from Dystopia, but without goggles. And, the first bonus icon shows a laptop. At the end of the bonus, at 7:01, you can see that Voice 2 was looking at a computer with his mission called "Mission Lead." We know that Lead was the first beat in V1 Alpha, and like in Dystopia, he was a robot. Hiding underneath his cloak was a robot exoskeleton of his body with his icon on his energy core. In Dystopia, however, in the second bonus, Zemetekile, he was being chased by triangle-pyramid like robots. Why were they chasing him? Because they recognized him from earlier in the past. In V8 Dystopia, the guy with the cloak when you start to play him, he is Voice 2. The same with Voice 2 from The Invasion. But, now, since the robots were trying to find him, he was wearing bright orange goggles. Why was he wearing them? Because he was afraid of being recognized. So, in order for him to not be identified, he tried hiding the fact, that he was just a normal guy in his society just trying to blend in with the other polos. Therefore, in The Invasion, he was also a voice. Which is Voice 2. When he was being made in a robot building factory facility. At the time, though, the triangle robots that were chasing him knew that it was him and they tried to get him back to the factory where he was first being made. The triangle robots didn't really know that he had the power to shut down other kinds of robots. Then, in the third bonus in Dystopia, Cumulor, we know that Lead wanted to save the Dystopian-like world from the evil technology that was taking over the world. So, in a last resort he flew the spaceship to the Cumulor where, once inside, he finally knew what he must do in order for him to save his world from the evils of technology, to sacrifice himself to rid all of technology and save his world from destruction. In the first bonus of Dystopia, Rivera, Lead was looking for the Cumulor and also tried to think of ways he could possibly go to the Cumulor without being seen. I also noticed that the triangle robots from the first bonus were looking for Voice 2 in Dystopia. That's why they have their face recognition systems to find him. This is why we see him hide from the triangle robots in the first bonus. Because, the robots recognized him, and he disappeared to go to a back alleyway to the spaceship, which was already there. I think that as to why the spaceship was there was because he used the spaceship to get away from the factory. And he escaped because he wanted to find sanctuary in the Dystopia world. It could also mean that Effect 1, which was the original design for the incredible polos, also have been made in the robot factory, too. Maybe he's inside the science pod because the factory wants to keep him in there, almost as if they want to preserve him for future projects. I can't believe Beat 1 from Alpha was with us since the very beginning. R.I.P. Lead. You will be missed by the Incredibox community.
It's alright but two major problems 1# let's get with the biggest problem that is noticable the most the animations are broken with little to no sync 2# all the sounds are lightly different and don't mix well I know it's intended to be strange but they do it in not the best way that makes sense other wise a good worm in progress
Invasion and Dystopia are connected cause Invasion is the first one cause they are preparing for the invasion while dystopia is the main guy again walking and escapes froma nearby drone and chases the ship but managed to destroy them and sacrificed himself to destroy the core.
Why does this mod remind me of Dystopia SO MUCH. aa. And maybe the... Ughh. What was the Japanese set called? There was the guy with the electric arc thing too. UPD: I didn't know that it is supposed to be a prequel to Dystopia.
I think the problem with this mod is that not all the sounds sound good together. In the real game, any combination works and sounds great. However, in this mod, for example all the melodies together, sound out of sinc and uncomfortable. That’s why you have to keep the sounds on a generally basic level so that each of the sprites can flawlessly mix together. Also, some sounds overpower others. This is prevalent in almost every section when played together. Some sounds are almost unbearable.
honestly no offense to anyone making mods for this (cus anyone who does that i have mad respect for), however im kinda starting to wonder if there are any musicians involved in the process of making these. I mean all of the vocal based ones arent even in the same key... and the loop isnt clean... i do think some dissonance is good but not like every sound is different. but overall good work!
