You missed out man, Ace Combat 6 was one of the best games on the 360, it managed to do more in 2007 than most games were doing towards the end of the 360's life cycle in 2013-2014. The story in the cutscenes is completely independent of the narrative in-game, they really only serve as background information and to show the civilian perspective... In my opinion Ace Combat 04 did this a lot better. In-game however, this game ironically has by far the _strongest_ supporting cast of any Ace Combat game, and let me tell you... there is some _serious_ competition. Shamrock, Avalanche, Windover, Sky Kid, Ghost Eye, Snake Pit... Dragon Busters, Quox Battalion, Hell, Hammerhead the B-52 squadron, the game makes sure you feel like you're part of a much larger unit, and the friendly squadrons aren't only consistent throughout the missions, but they banter back and forth with your wingman and even talk directly to the player. They each have their own missions, they will carry out tasks on their own and if you help them complete their task they will essentially join your formation and give you a massive boost to your firepower. >Allied attack is the most overpowered ability in Ace Combat history and really demonstrates that for how great Talisman is, he is still just one more ace in a battalion of aces. A battalion that will die to protect and/or assist their guardian angel. TL:DR it good, better than 7, equal to PS2 trilogy.
@@trainknut Its not quite the same but I've seen playthroughs of 6 and the other games and that's what got me into the series. At the time, I had no income, so I had to rely on my parents' generosity to get games. That aside, I've played Assault Horizon and 7 and I'm happy with those experiences.
