It really sucks that due to battlefield being such a physically large game with large player counts in games, it’s near impossible to make it a viable e sport. Due to there being 32 people per team and an over all 64, paying participants via tournament or even professional salary would be impossible. It’s a shame, because it would be one of the most entertaining e sports I know of

Squad Conquest, Rush, Domination and TDM are all half the size in player count and map size. All of them can also be arranged to be have as few as 4 people in a server to start so you could theoretically do 2v2, 4v4, etc.

If you really wanted to do that you could just moderate usage of those things couldn't you? Within a tournament setting. Only allow 2 tanks / 2 planes etc

Spectator mode in Battlefield V is unfortunately glitched, which leads to some awkward moments such as that one.

Where was the japanese air support?

Historically there wasn't much Japanese Air Support on Iwo Jima - they mostly had kamikaze planes which they used on the US landing fleet. The Japanese Air Force had suffered heavy losses by 1945, and had fewer than 3000 aircraft. So maybe to keep up with the real history, they didn't use their Zeroes in this match

Less focus on each player’s performance and more of a tactical overview would be better IMO. Along the lines of: “We can see the American armor trying to make their way off the beach via the right flank, but with Japanese air superiority it’s hard to say whether or not they’ll be able to make it to the front and begin a push.”
